Since I did not see this get too much attention...I am curious. This change you are referring to...happened on Live? So anyone/everyone that was over 5000 is now back down to 5000?

This makes no sense. If you replicated a proto and it came out at 4850, when you maxed it out it would be 5100. If it stopped enhancing at 5000 you wouldnt have levelled it 25 times so you would be missing bonuses on the weapon.Originally Posted by Dopeman1908

I believe the OP means he was one of the players who was over 5K power and that he replicated a prototype and it dropped at 4850. Which would technically put him over 5K power again but when he enhanced it the rating stopped at 5K.
I think Drakonroo is meaning that if this is the case, then there is 100 power missing from the prototype which would mean lower stats and not mastered.
Unless the OP was able to use less salvage to master the prototype.

I don’t think that is the case. It’s possible they were taken back down to the power level they were prior to doing whatever to get over 5K. The players would then have to level back up the hard way like everyone else. Since the dev team don’t discuss how they handle these kind of situations we can only speculate.
But the issue is now that the OP’s prototypes are still dropped at 4850. Which makes no sense to me.
