A PVP Open World

I think there should be an option between a Coop world (what we have now) and a PVP world. I'm not talking about shadow wars or anything like that, but a world just like the coop one but we get to kill other players. I think if we would have a server like this it would change the aspect of the game. People would team up to survive, you could be driving along in your hemi when suddenly a rocket passes over the hood of your car and you begin to take sniper fire and if you get scared you could go to safe zones though out the map like the Iron Demon Ranch for example. I think a server like this would be awesome.

it would be sweet if one of the future expacs/DLCs/whatnots brought us open world clan wars
even sweeter if they could add some kind of town ownership in them...think castle wars in Lineage 2

thats the kind of **** that makes a game truly stand as MMO

Every MMO that has done this has failed b.c people start off thinking "Yea world PvP" that quickly turns into hiding in towns or safe spots and only a few people PvPing. You will also get lots quitting that think they understand what WPvP means but didn't realize "EXACTLY". Servers die people complain blah blah blah. Happens every time.

And then all the vendor locations will have clans spawn camping them.
Youtubing their kills on you as you come up to the vendor to pause and scroll through, getting a headshot on you and laughing in their microphone.
Then your name ends up another statistic on "Defiance Newb Pwning 1" on YouTube

Better yet just ad a perma shadow wars option, this way servers will still have alot pf people and who ever likes the thrill of open world pvp can do so.

They need to do it like DCUO where it was the same world you could just toogle PVP on or off ....People with it on can only attack others with it on. You would show up a diff. color on the mini-map. Maybe have some sort of icon by there name.
Also I want to be able to 1v1 dual people.

Yeah, so people can get cheap kills on those doing quests and busy fighting mobs? No thanks.

Open world PvP is the way to go. Those scared of it can have flagging system(PvP ON/OFF). So no one can get "cheap" kill on you, unless you choose to participate. Flag could also be auto OFF if you're at vendor location, or in arkfall circle.

PvP'ing this way would only add FUN to the game, not take it away...
