This is the issue. The reward is very poor given the risk involved.

No it didn't. It might as well have had "To be continued" at what you call the end. The story is clearly not over.

I skipped all the comments but all I read in the initial post is blah blah blah I suck at the game and so that means that the game was horrible. You had 6k scrip at the end of the game AFTER saving up?? and you had under 2k by time you finished the last mission? That is your own fault, you need some more skill do not blame the game. The last boss fight was a bit underwhelming and a purple pistol kinda sucked but it is not like it really matters in this game you can kill mobs just fine with a white gun as well as a orange one. Thanks for playing the game and disliking it because you do not know how to play or get that the game is not all about the main quest line.

I'm still progressing through. Seems strange to me if there's no defining reward for completing the story quest? No title or outfit or amazing cut scene? I'm sure Defiance will attract a fair proportion of classic linear game players (especially on the Xbox), so would have thought Trion would put something in to give them a sense of grand achievement at that point in their journey.

You get a gun and a title for beating the boss. There's also a cutscene that definitely shows that the story isn't over. I don't think I'd call any of the cutscenes amazing but they do the job.

Pure semantics, the content can be as relative as it likes, the fact of the matter is, he hasn't beaten the game. there is a ton of other content out there. furthermore, if he died so much he blew 4k scrip in there, he likely isnt a great player anyway..

simple fact of the matter is that finished for you is not finished for someone else, I don't consider acheivments as proper content so I don't factor them into whether i've finished the game or not.

and to tell the truth, anybody who pulls out that ******** line about "you haven't done it all" is being a pretentious ***, you knew what he meant when he said finished and since you couldn't be bothered to actually contribute to the discussion you chose to argue semantics like an ignorant *******.
