So many people in rush to white knight for the game fail to read and understand that OP is talking about his disappointment with the rewards for beating Nim Shondu which is actually quite a tough fight.

Where did this sort of mentality that the game is over when you finish the "final" quest or beat the "final" boss? Did people just up and ****ing quit when they beat GSB in RIFT before RoS came out? What? This mindset vexes me to no end.
As for the rewards for beating Nim: did you not feel anything after having to put in so much effort, and then finally overcoming him? The feeling of accomplishment is far more rewarding than 500 scrip and an epic weapon. Is Nim difficult? At the very least he's more difficult than anything else in the game currently. But he's a story quest boss, games don't hand out the very best loot for that kind of thing. You got exactly what you would get in any other kind of online game. A welfare epic. Congrats.
EDIT:
@Technodude I'll white knight against pissed off whiny kids all day. However, if someone wants to levy constructive criticisms in a well thought out post, more power to them, I'd probably even agree with some of the points they make.

"OMG how dare you feel that way about this game! you are so wrong SO SO SO WRONG IN EVERY WAY" -Defiance fanboys .... don't worry you're not the only one who feels that way. Im pretty much bored with the game. I think i'll only be playing the episodes because of the show. I feel it was a waste of 60 bucks.. Because this game is not worth 60 bucks at all
After beating the final boss in Skyrim I could just keep playing. I could go hunting bears or explore caves and ruins or whatever but if there's no reason to do these things, ie a mission or quest tied to them what's the point? An mmo shouldn't run out of story content this fast.
Only means Trion didnt pay enough to have those hack writers give them 4 more imaginary points. Honestly, those "famous" sites are written by mouth breathers trying to get a real job by posting an article a week so they can say 10 years journalism experience on their resume.
The last boss fight is about 600% harder than any other fight in the game. He uses tactics that are not human, not even cyborg like he is supposed to be. He moves like a hologram, his speed is way too fast and most of the fight your shots pass right through him. Then after the hell you go through they pat you on the back and say way to go, here is some crap.
If the final fight is going to be this hard there should be a proper reward, or at least make the boss easier or make it a group fight. It pretty much is a group enemy anyway.
Also lets remember that on login there is a message that says to finish the missions before the show starts. Is that even possible for more than say 5-10% of players? I feel like were set up to fail unless we bash our heads against that boss over and over until we win. And to the ppl that say they beat him in 1 try? LIARS. No video proving this has been posted. Just a bunch of lying trolls saying they did.
Was hunting bears part of the story line of skyrim? apples and oranges here.
Look at map, see all those side quests, go do them.
Took me 20m to beat boss... super easy when you find out his attack pattern. A ground pounder works wonders.
