    saw by far is the best weapon i ever used, got me out of alot of sticky situations

    You're lucky!! My LCE alone was 97 lbs. Ruck would be between 60-120 lbs depending on the mission and how long after we jumped in that we would expect support. Travel light, freeze at night. RLTW and AATW!

    sorry for taking the OPs post off track, but MUTHAFKNA!! I had strap marks for weeks after carrying my own shtako. What is OUR business? Killing!

    nah we had light packing list, but then again we didnt jump either

    Hell, I'm old enough to sweat dust. I was just finishing Infantry OSUT when Desert Shield kicked off. My last deployment before I got out was to invade Haiti. That was a long flight in a Blackhawk from Ft. Bragg to Haiti. 3rd bird to leave the US to invade. I did enjoy my time as a door gunner though. Love flying!
