So they are waiting that long for the beta weekend? That's not a beta test. They won't even have enough time to correct reported issues prior to launch... and that's the purpose of a test right?

I think this test is supposed to be a server stress test.

Some tests are more about testing server stability, data throughput, etc.. and less about actual bug hunting. That close to release, I imagine they want to put as much pressure on the servers as they can to see what breaks.

if beta is that weekend...good. spring break starts the next week, so i wouldnt have to worry about going to sleep to get enough sleep to wake up early to fly. great experience if expensive to learn btw, if you are not in college yet and are interested in being a pilot... make sure you WANT it

as for the site giving away betas, very nice for those who dont want to preorder to try the game and too lazy/unlucky to get beta codes from live streams.
