There's definitely loot in the middle sometimes. You have to wait for everyone to have a go so you can get in there and get it, though, so I usually hang back. Also, it seems like, especially in the destroy the crystal ones, if you're one of the people hitting the weak patches the Skitterlings make it drops loot. I tend not to pick up loot in the middle of the Arkfall and wait until the end.
Herd mentality!
Dunno what I'm talking about - I do it aswell.Baa

If you stand in the light after an arkfall you get teleported to a world with beast weapons but every monster is hard.Just kidding, but seriously just think of it as a bug zapper, people are drawn to light as much as a bug is drawn to the blue light on a bug zapper.

Monkey see, Monkey do.
I do it just to see how many people follow along. Imagining their confused faces after nothing happens is entertaining.
I usually have a drop or two waiting there for me. I assumed others did as well. Now I'm just confused![]()
Anyone else notice when you go to an arkfall hit one mob once and leave the area you get 6000 (or 4000 sometimes) xp 3 keys and 400 scrip when the arfall finishe? Seems a rather big reward for doing nothing. I farmed this way for a bit and worked every time....
