This was something i mentioned in my mission comments during the BETA test once. Cooper looks to be about 45 to 50 years old, African American and yes he sounds like a white american guy. Liam O'Brien plays him apparently and he is of course caucasian. It is not racist to assert some African Americans sound, and say things a certain way. It makes no difference to me as far as the game is concerned, it's just my ears are used to a certain, almost stereotypical kind of vocal inflection and a much deeper sound coming from such a character. Now if you can't hear the difference, you don't watch enough TV.
Like I would ever waste my time watching a review on Youtube.
Umm, AJ is avidly against that type of corruption and monetization of the gaming review industry. He didn't ask for a review copy because he believes in experiencing the game like the rest of us. Also trion had someone drive 2 HOURS to bring him the game on a flash drive because of his patch-er wouldn't load. If trion cares that much about what he thinks maybe you should as well...
He's got a lot of valid points, though I personally disagree in saying that VO is bad and the story is bland.
Though it clearly is relying on the show to explain things. The game doesn't explain much in terms of lore, even with the recorders.
I would give the game a 6-7/10*.
The * is a disclaimer that after a couple weeks of patching it may be much better and be an 8-9. The bugs are really hindering this game right now in some aspects.
