You know what's funny? Someone posted in a thread about how bad IGN is at reviewing that Angry Joe or TotalBiscuit should review the game. Having remembered how -HORRIBLE- he did his Alpha Protocol review (running forward, shooting an armor-wearing soldier in the chest with tranq-loaded starter pistol, lol) told me that he is incapable of properly reviewing anything that falls outside of formulaic or copycat of something else.

I love Angry Joe's reviews. Especially the Aliens CM one (I bought that game).

But here's the thing. I'm wondering if reviewers are playing enough of the game, or just playing through the story, side missions and a few arkfalls. This game is feverishly addictive and a lot of fun but you have to play it a while to get the hang of it.

Stuff that's easy to overlook are:

    - Grinding for lockboxes - who doesn't love a surprise?
    - Random events (just heading out and seeing what happens)
    - Learning how to mod weapons properly
    - Trying out ALL the weapons - as you'll hate / love some of 'em
    - Doing some of the pursuits
    - Trying all the Arkfalls (some are much better than others)

And, to be fair, it's too early to do a review IMO.

Maybe it's just a love it or hate it game but I think there's a lot to like here.

I normally like angry joe.. but he got some things wrong that makes me question him..

He says there are 4 coop missions, but there are 7.

He says he wants to know where hellbugs came from, but he doesn't watch the intel video?

There is ALOT of lore presenting as you go thru the game. I am disappointed in his review, and I usually love him.. ForceSC2strategy also was meh at the beginning but as he played, he started to love it more... watch his review.

Looks like he drew on his facial hair and eyebrows with shoe polish.

I think Angry Joe's bad patcher experience might have tainted his view of the game.

I gotta disagree with him in his final overview of the game, he calls it "average in every sense of the word." But how? Exactly what other shooter MMO's with a TV companion are out there? What other game can you have 30 other players shooting cooperatively like in an arkfall? Like it or not this game is something new.

Sometimes Angry Joe is fair like his Two Worlds 2 video, but I think this one and his Colonial Marines are pretty harsh considering how fun both games can be.

He's absolutely right. The game (as it stands now) is extremely lackluster. Not to mention the multitude of bugs.

I'm still enjoying it though. Probably because I'm a glutton for punishment. Kind of like at the end how he stated that you have to force yourself to like it, because you do.

I usually watch Angry Joe reviews after the fact, and find them to be pretty spot on. I haven't watched this one, but I would not be surprised to find his impressions are similar to mine.

You guys seem to be forgetting something though. He didn't say it was a bad game. He said its an Average game, with the potential of getting better ( or worst ).

I think that he may have saved me some cash. Shame as i like Trion (Rift player).
I feel he was a bit hard on this game with a 5, I have to say I feel even with all the bugs, inventory issues, chat issues, it was still worth the money, as long as you dont go out of your way to buy the bits, and all that. I think at least a 6 would be better. Seems the longer you play and the more your ego rises and your weapon options start to get better, the game feels to get better. One of the other fun parts of the game is trying to finish all the side quest and goals they give you. I got my $60 worth out of the game and thats all I expect.

    Good luck!
