Old Friend/Old Sword Bug

I know this topic has been brought up before, but has anyone actually figured out how to get past the bug with the ranchers not appearing. I've tried many times and cant do it no matter what I do ( logged out, restarted mission, join someone elses phase and tried).

My buddy and I submitted tickets through the "Settings" menu in-game. I'm waiting to hear back but the mission was auto-completed for my friend.

For me it seemed like a second player entering the zone glitched it, so I did it early in the morning, noone showed up, nothing went wrong.

I tried it this morning when no one was around and it still messed up

I'm having the same problem it sucks so bad, no matter what time I try to do the mission it doesn't matter it wont work ranchers even show up sometimes I free them and they just spawn again along with the frigging monsters.

I been trying to do this mission for 3 days. No mater what I do I can't get passed the first objective. On the side there is some npc running bak and forth. It really bothering me cause I can't progress in the game and on the first time of me trying to do the mission I made it all the way to the end and it wouldn't let me heal the rancher. Now I can't get passé the beggining. Irritating!

I never heard of this bug glitch thing before, never happened to my friends either.
