    Positivity Post

As the turmoil from what the defiance community has been through, seemingly since the beginning of the game, get's worse, I want to open up a discussion here as a post for any positive interactions or experiences you have had since first starting in Defiance. This could be anything from friends that you have made in game that have since extended beyond game to a fun event you and some friends did together. The floor is open to share whatever positive experiences you've encountered.

I'll share first to help start the conversation:
Since starting in Defiance back in August of 2017 it quickly became my favorite and most played game I have ever owned despite, to this day, not ever having watched the show. I fell in love with the sense of community and the willingness of players to help one another. Since starting in defiance I was amazed at the willingness of veteran players to share their insights and tips for creating different types of builds and being told what type of game defiance was before I joined. For example, the Warmaster with laser eyes. Sounds awesome! Wish I had been around for that. I have made friends in this game that I can see being life long friends. While some might play this game more casually, it has also become a space that I spend a good portion of my time having good laughs in discord with friends and being able to run events and help each other build up weapons and gear. I have remembered and still occasionally experience some good laughs that leave my stomach aching. I remember getting my first Super item and being so excited that I just had to go out at ark falls and show off my new toy. I still enjoy getting players together to run Warmasters and have dance parties and car shows at different fast travel locations and different aesthetically pleasing locations on the map. I have met and spoken to some very interesting individuals from all walks of life from playing this game and have always enjoyed hearing about players life experiences and funny stories they have to share. While the world is a crazy place right now and the game has its ocean full of issues I hope this helps spread some positivity and encourages you to share your experiences with myself and the rest of the community

yea I'm mostly all negative about Gamigo but one good thing for sure is the people u meet here. Most friends have moved on but there's still even with dwindling population there's still some good ppl playing. Just the random silliness of a group tbagging someone or the funny crap in zone chat, getting a good drop here and there of something i needed/wanted was enough for a gg day. Exploring off the map or escaping Alcatraz with friends just wasting time not even farming for anything, perfect strangers just handing you mods you need for free n all they ask is help them out later on, had a lot of good memories here.

Personally, their is no competitiveness in D50, like there still is in D13, due to the new system introduced in D50.

I use to enjoy trying to get good weapons on D13 to be able to compete with genuine good players in Arkfalls and especially Warmaster, which use to take about 20-30 mins to kill it. Afterwards, we all had a chance of getting a legendary weapon if you had a good score. This was one thing I looked forward to.

My Clan, Ozz Squad Warriors was at its peek in May-June 2014 and was one of the top Clans in D13. I hand picked the best players, to become the best if not #1 clan of that time. Unfortunately, things don't last forever.

During that time, I met so many amazing people who became veru close friends. Besides running my clan and keeping order, there were many times I would gather a group and go on roadkills, chasing "The Volge". I would message the clan to tp to us if they wanted Volge kills. It always was a team effort and I was so proud of the clan I created and what I achieved with them all.

I remember the days when you couldn't teleport to Iron Demon Ranch, Happy Pow Farm, Diablo Station. We had to drive, drive, drive everywhere. In doing so, taking in the amazing game scenery, so captivating, and killing anything on the road as we went here and there.

The next adventure was discovering Last Chance. It reminded me of a place I have seen in real life and then to venture down the west coast, with my best friend ingame Ninianne, to Headlands. It was months before we got to San Fran to explore and discover everything there, due to the many other adventures distracting us.

I remember the days when the types of frequent loot that would drop, ranged between White, Green, Blue, and Purple in plentiful supply. It didn't take months and months to gains loys of scrip. But that ws short lived too. Loots changed, in types and quantity. Before long, the game had a scrip famine and was extremely hard to get scrip to do the many things we use to do.

I remember a time, when all the races were glitched. My Clan informed us all that the scores were broken and you don't need to get a super high score for Gold. So myself and others jumped to it and did all our races and achieved the Black Dodge Challenger. The glitch lasted about 2-3 days.

Besides running the Clan, I also was a trader on the side, selling mods and the occasional weapon, shield & nade.

I remember back in 2013? prior to the Plague Event being introduced, Topnotch was very quiet when you arrived there. When this event was implemented, a new sound was heard when a player arrived there, it is the same sound you hear now with the sick people complaining.

I remember when the SAW LMG was the most sort after weapon in the game as it had the best damage, until it got nerfed. Shortly after that, The VOT Tachmag was "The Bomb" of all weapons and remained the most sort after weapon for a long time, due to its high Fire Rate and sufficient Damage included.

Due to the ongoing trading I did, collecting mods, weapons, nades, shields, there was a time in the beginning, where there was no limit on how much inventory you had. So back then, over time, I gained 1201 inventory slots on one of my chars and 743 slots on another. It was also the time when they introduced the EPIC MODS. Everyone was chasing them lol.

Well that's some of the things I remember

I have been a Defiance player for many many years and still remember to this day the first event that caught my attention and eventually would make this one of my most played games to date.
The event was Hulker Hell and i remember watching those massive Hulker's charging all over the map and having to be chased down even outside the arkfalls. I had blue and purple weapons and still had a awesome time just trying to survive, the map was always full of other players and the deaths were real.
This one event gave me my very first JP weapon and I was so hyped but then came the chase to mod that sucker, this was before t5 mods were dropping frequently so it was modded with blues and maybe one purple another player had gifted me.
This one player would end up being a very good friend and we would call majors for each other and shard hop constantly to try and keep up with the rates that the majors spawned, there were many shards at this point and it was difficult to hit every major.
I found this fast gameplay was a lot of fun and as I spent more time in game I made more friends and would see players everywhere just doing their thing, this ranged from the incursions to the sieges to the major arkfalls.
Then there was the Warmaster... boy was he mean, best weapons were wolfhounds and smg's and other players would always offer advice to new players about perks and loadouts but if you beat him there was a real sense of satisfaction.
There would be so many players trying to get into the Warmaster that several instances would happen all at the same time and the battle was real.
All of this was before I even realised we had pursuits to do to increase my ego so I spent many months at 4k ego and was still learning with the help of the community.
Over time this community would become like my second home and the players in it friends and some like family.
I have some great memories of clannies and friends alike just fooling around at overpass with cars everywhere or trying to auction off our friends for scrip (they were fine with it).
I am still friends these great people and continue to be active in D13 although not as much as originally but I will always have many fond memories from this game and its awesome communities.

I would have to say my favorite moment in game, or should I say moments that connect, are when the devs live streamed the upcoming event for the Mutagenic Gestation synergy. I was and still am big into PvP but at that time was getting killed by the VA Aug syn canker and was looking for a counter to it's DMG. Low and behold Chrysalis. I was immediately smitten with this canker. A few days later the event dropped and at the first event major I attended I got a Chrysalis. I felt like the Universe was on my side for once. Pretty much been an a junkie of infectors of various styles and types ever since.
Another good but bittersweet memory was when my almost fully T6'ed Nanophagus rig got stolen by Vimbuscasuaalma. This was when T6 chips just came out. I had all T6 syphon intensifiers in the rig with nano specialist keystone. I was missing one T6 nano initiator. I had a t6 core he wanted and he had the nano. He passed me the Sentinel rig and I passed my nano. I pulled his chip and he dipped and stole my rig. I told everyone in zone about it. Someone on my friends list was in his class. They refused to help. I honestly stopped trusting people in this game after that. A few weeks later Trion made it to where we could trade chips because of all the scammers on the game. The nice part was people gave me free chips too get back in because I honestly was ready to quit. My character was super over powered with that setup at that time which was Chrysalis, Nano rig, probably an impact shroud, and FF blade. Glad I stuck around, kept grinding, and am back at being a decent PvP player. Yeah... They still need to get rid of the cheaters in the game but that's never going to happen if you continue to fail like the last company to own this title by never creating new content beyond bugged or broken synergies and rigs while selling of gear and mods from the beginning and middle of this titles hey day. You're selling ignorant people trash gear. Should be illegal to so v what you all do. Collecting money on miss, gear, bundles, skins, while not updating or fixing game issues with the money earned from player purchases for said game. You're selling and profiting off of a lie. Scandals really.

Ouch, that sucks, but hey, at least you stuck around a bit and luckily got those t6 chips back due to the kind hearted people, at the end of the day, they are going to repeat the mistakes of the old, Gamigo IS selling a scam, this game technically is not being supported anymore, only the servers are up, at this point only the loyal people are gonna stay in this game, and even their patience is being tested.

In 2015 I had quite a long vacation, so after spending a few days on the coast I decided to download a free game to occupy some of the time.
My girlfriend (who is also a gamer) saw arkhunter's first few minutes of my life and said, "Are you going to spend the rest of your vacation killing bugs?" However, an hour later she was claiming her turn to play, lol .
Today we have two pages in FBK of both versions of Defiance for the Latino community where we brought together almost 1400 people plus a YouTube channel to advise newbies on their beginnings.
It was our first online game that allowed us to meet people from different parts of the planet and with some we have cultivated a friendship.
Defiance has always moved as in life itself, values that range from companionship, friendship, joint effort and loyalty have coexisted with lies, envy, avarice, arrogance and it has been fun thanks to people of "good wood" who were and still are in the new frontier.

As for the companies that have managed the game throughout these seven years my opinion is reflected in many threads of this forum, just a mention and thanks because Defiance (at some point) for many of us became part of our day to day.
