Is the Region for UK actually UK or is it EU??

There is no region lock you can pick to play on us or eu server of which there will be many you could even play on an eu and a us server with different toons. xbox and ps3 will have there own set of servers. hope this helps

How so? I'm not to bothered but many people enjoy playing people from their own region. Seems they will blame lag otherwise.

Its done because some people play at odd hours either because of work or because they are just wierd... and if they were locked into a server on their own end they wouldn't have as many to play with. OR They are originally from somewhere else or have made friends with a bunch of people from another part of the world and would like to play with said people...

this basically, in gw2 i used to play on the american servers, because i play late hours. and i have alot of american friends.

I already knew we could choose server as its been mentioned a few times, Im only fbothered about this coz my cousin in Australia wont play unless she plays on server with me and my bro
