I am guessing that most console players are not used to any kind of mmorpg, therefore they are mostly noobs. Compared to many others I have noticed around here that obviously have experiences with mmo launches and rpg's in general.

I think this game is pretty damn good for just launching a short while ago, and the devs seem to be active in fixing issues. In other mmotps/rpg type games you are lucky if you ever see a post from a dev in months.

So i agree with the thread starter, ppl need to calm the fck down, and give trion its due credit.

MMO vet since muds, you know before there was any graphical interface.. and the same issues in beta are still in the gold release so how can people NOT complain? What MMO's have you played? Just so we can get a guess of your 'mmo experience'

I've Beta'd AC1, DaOC, EQ2, AC2, Aoc, SWOTR, DCUO, and now this title to name a few. heck my first 'mmo' was Baldurs Gate on Heat.net where you could house your own game and 4 other players can join, thats 13+ years ago. ..but I digress..

In alpha there were issues, on PS3 beta the same issues.

There is no social aspect at all, chat is crap, VIOP is crap... but wait the Defender of Trion will quickly point out.. 'that will be patched on the 15th!!

RIIIGHT!! just like the same fanboys and girls said 'it will be patched at launch!'

This isn't 1999 its 2013 MMO's aren't 'new' this is now a 20+ year industry that can't expect-using your phrase-"have experiences with mmo launches and rpg's in general" should expect more.

Sure I remember SWG release, Daoc release that was 11+ years ago! you know back when the fastest processors where single core 750 Mhz?

^ Great post, truly. MMORPG/TPS games are still making breakthroughs on console platforms, especially for PS3. Xbox Had FFXI, which was one of the finest MMORPGs for consoles, so many of their players may have some experience. DCUO serves its justice for the PS3, but Defiance is a bit of a different monster. A free roam world will always have its bugs and glitches even when finely tuned, and Trion has done one HELL of a job working swiftly to make their customers happy. Give it time people, Trion has something here.

It doesn't matter. Even if a game gets GOTY, there will always be negative threads on the forum. Some people are just born negative.

These people realize their "precious" opinions don't mean jack **** in the real world. So they take to the forums to make themselves feel important.

Bahahaha..... Someone finally puts a light on subject, soooooo true. I'm generally optimistic about games myself, but then again I don't strive for perfection in a game, but rather look at its unique aspects. I must be a minority.

Nothing but moping and complaining on here. You gotta realized that this game hasnt been out long an of course theirs gonna be problems like no other. It takes time, in instead of complaining an crying over crap just sit an relax an play that dang game the best you could till then.
