If you think about it does the release date really matter with this being an MMO because I see them doing updates/patches through out the future.

I hate to resurrect an old thread like this, but I was bored and just clicked a random page from near the end of the forums and this was on that page. I just find the humor and relevance of this post (which was made before the game's launch). So, to all those people still out there hoping that the stability issues are fixed soon.... this bud's for you.
These are just my opinions.
I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.
NA/pc.
2013: Mid E-5XXX main, but I played 26+ 'toons from E400 to E5500. (Dormant)
2050: Lvl 499X main
I feel your pain on that one. My entire clan, everyone, basically quit/went on hiatus on the same day. Having good friends that played is what kept me going on this game through all the instability. Not having any of my good friends/clanmates around led me to go on hiatus that very same day as well.
Wow.. you couldn't delve into your own thread and had to pull up one from MARCH?
I agree, wish it was better than it is.. but c'mon.. from MARCH??? LOL
4/5 of us had to have been some of the most dedicated Arkhunters too, defenders of Defiance to all the initial naysayers, pillars of the trading community, welcoming party to new players, makers of player guides, providing the community guidance on everything from mods to weapon choice to farming spots (on the DL of course) - zero trolls, all adults, all players any game company with any sense would want to stay in their game...
LF: Respark Energizer ARK, 7th Legion Gashima Unity Synergy, Double DMG & EGO on Reload
Ok.. I'll concede that point when you concede mine: people that no longer play a game have no business being on that games forums unless they are trolls looking for attention or trying to stir up drama.
When you can agree to that, then we'll agree that dragging up a 6 month old post was the best option.![]()
Agreed, it wasn't just a clan of people who casually played the game. It was a clan of people who devoted a lot of energy into the game, whether it be by helping newbies and getting them up to speed or researching every little nook and cranny of things in order to make an accurate and concrete guide that would not only help all players, but also help grow the understanding for this game (since Trion failed to even do that---- just look at the people today still asking where to find Outlaw mods).
Yes, Overtkill was in that clan. He can attest that everyone in it left the exact same day. Just a few days prior to that, I had a conversation with the clan's founder and he said straight up that he loved Defiance and was in it for the long haul. When I said everyone left the same day, he is included in that.
Never in my history of gaming have I seen an entire clan leave a game at pretty much the same time (well, within a 24 hour span). It wasn't even something that was planned or even remotely mentioned. I'm sure some, like myself, left because all of a sudden their good friends weren't on anymore and that was the only reason they were sticking around. But that has to tell you something.
You can be a fan of something and have hope in something, and still the people in charge of that something can still screw it up. Take for instance Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I loved it as a kid, grew up on the original. I still have the black and white comics and the graphic novel. All the new cartoon versions of it probably suck, I haven't watched any. I still had hope it would make a glorious comeback one day. Then found out about a new movie... excited
Then found out Michael Bay was at the helm.... one word, "aliens"... WTF?
Hope diminished
