Why all the bad reviews?

I'm really not getting all of the hate for this game, how does it possibly have a 60 on Metacritic? I mean, I understand that it has a bunch of glitches, and some weird server issues... But still...
Please, no flaming, just explain why the critics are hating this game sooooo much.

Actually simple people tend to read more things that ate negative then positive which is why reviews like to be negative. Also 99% of the people that write reviews shouldn't be opening there mouth anyway lol.

They don't play the game... not to its full potential, they play a small segment and then tear the game apart based on bugs and glitches. This game, when reviewed by a person who has fully played the game... ME.... Gives it a 8.5/10...

Lets just hope you arent biased then. If the vast majority of reviews are giving it 5-6/10 and you're putting it up to almost 9, which one is the outlier and which one is most likely to be innaccurate?

Well im 100% done with the story, and 75% done with the Pursuits... How far along do you think the people that did the reviews are? Think they even made it to Madera?

In reality it doesnt matter, all of the MMO reviews are first impressions and a sample of the story. Companies give press access to parts of the game they want to show off, so all the games really go under the same scrutiny for short amounts of time. The start of other games was a lot stronger than Defiance, and unfortunately Defiances strong point was the start of the game.

5) People who somehow believe that all MMOs in history EXCEPT for Defiance have somehow managed to launch 100% bug free and that the same amount of content was in those games at launch as there is now, even though those same games they mention have had several years and multiple patches and expansions since

6) People who no matter how many times they are told do not get that they have not beaten the game and that all they have done is equivalent to reading the prologue of a book and claiming to have read the entire book still insist they have beaten the game, regardless of the fact that new content will be released regularly starting this coming Monday

#5 seems to repeat itself with every single massive multiplayer title. I wonder when reviewers will learn not to review at launch or calculate the natural launch troubles into their review.

#6 is a matter of grind. Grinding achievements, kills, missions (you can repeat it all over and over again), coops and arkfalls to get every weapon to level 20 and orange guns of every type with full synergy mods is what we could do right now. Is it repetitive? Sure ... so i got exactly what I bought.

What the HELL is your problem? you're accusing him of being "biased" because he enjoys the game? are you serious? news flash junior,there are PLENTY of people enjoying this game,does that make everybody "biased"? based on your failed trolling logic it does.

It's an MMOTPS, anyone who thought it was an rpg hasn't been paying attentio. Reviewing it based on the 360 is just pointless until the 360 issues are ironed out. Reviewing it before the show airs is a bit pointless because it's a tie in to the show. It does some things great, some things could use improvements but a bit too soon to be dishing out legit reviews.

So you are basically saying to wait and play the game later, got it. Too bad Trion didn't get the memo and released it for public scrutiny already.

And there is the problem, Reviews should not be "First Impressions" of a game, rather, a review of the game... That's like watching the opening cut scene and giving it a negative review.
