the bad guys are over there shoot gun did i need a mic/keyboard for that.
unfortunaly live feeds and the one hour with defiance havent shown a boss that needs 45 people to kill it or it under NDA, the one dragon in dragon's dogma is kind of mmo when it dies it gets more powerful or if some one leaves it gets more powerful.

So a bit like Diablo then?

Found my old usb keyboard and plugged it in to find that it indeed works on my xbox 360 so i'm good to go

I hope this doesn't turn the xbox community in to tiny little enclosed groups. From what I understand, the only voice chat that is automatic is in parties/guilds. Without typing, there will be no other open world communication. And really, quick communication is pretty essential. Again, I'll take voice chat when running things over typing any day. but i can't think of a single MMO where the ability to communicate via text based chat wasn't necessary.

I went and got a chatpad just for this. Used it to send a few messages to friends and I will never be able to go without it again. I also have a headset with a microphone.

I'll be buying a Chatpad and/or using Xbox Smartglass if I need to text chat.

the Chatpad is easily the single best peripheral that Microsoft has ever released for the 360. even if I weren't gonna play Defiance, I would still buy one.
