well dont know if theres more than the one i know of, but the BIG radio tower in San Fran seen on the skyline if you look around works
Given that "major ruins" is not capitalized, I'm pretty sure any large area of ruined buildings will count, but I haven't tested it. Downtown would seem to be an obvious choice to try. The Trolley Graveyard might be worth trying too.
Major Ruins are area's in San Fran that have a quest type event.
The easy one to find is in the west the very large communication tower with dark matter all around it.
Sledge is live right now and just played that area so yes trolley Graveyard, it is.
When the world goes to shtako, someone has to clean it up.
Major Ruins are names locations of the San Fransisco area like Sutro Tower and Trolley Graveyard, there are quite a few, most have an event tied to them as well.
The one I've highlighted for the contract guide is Sutro Tower, the waypoint is displayed in the image. People have also commented that the ruins of downtime is a good place.

I use the Alamo mission in the bombed out town north of the overpass. between overpass and downtown I think
