Friends list issue/cannot join phase

Just started a few minutes ago.

Friends list not working; can't pull it up in the Quick Menu. Anyone on my f-list (accessed in the Social menu) appears as "request pending". Have to search for them by account name to locate them, and after I add them to group, I can't join their phase.

My friend is having the exact same issue.

Anyone else? Workarounds, anyone?
