I had 6-7Mb the whole time downloading from the UK; a lot of factors contribute to the speed you get any software. Not least of which are the servers between you and the file host and their load when you chose to download, two factors Trion cannot control. So you can all stop getting your panties in a wad, it won’t change anytime soon; some games will download quickly others won’t, just as some days are better than others, it's part and parcel of gaming on the internet.

The launcher has lots of issues, but the download speed isn't one of them.

i had no idea the game was patching actually. it says patching for a fraction of a second... the i can play. it takes me longer to fast jump ingame ...

if it fails - take a look at Patcher.log in defiance folder. and see if it says anything about failing some parts.

For the record, I'm in Oslo, Norway

I took three different broadband speed tests before resuming download today, all saying I have a download capacity of roughly 5MBps.

The patcher is currently downloading at 0.53

if it fails - take a look at Patcher.log in defiance folder. and see if it says anything about failing some parts.

My patcher.log said file so and so were missing, but I assume it will download those files (Installed yesterday, been patching yesterday and today - not constantly though )

I have installed on my D: drive - main drive is a 111GB SSD drive

i had 7 mb speed... get off your dial up.

dont be a ******, i have a 6mb/s connection but i got .20 for most of my download, why is it that peoples egos are so big they assume what ever they have done is the only way things are, just because you happened to get a good connection doesnt mean everyone does, and its not a problem on the downloaders end, its defiently on trions end.

FYI the internet is not 2 nodes, you and Trion Worlds. Nor is there 1 big cable between you.

The issue could be anywhere between you and the server.

It's not just "my PC is leet so it's Trion's fault".

I won't even get started on the fact that every single one of these complaints insists that their PC is perfect and absolutely cannot be the source of any issues.

Jestunhi, even if the internet is not a series of tubes, you have to admit something seems fishy when people from all kinds of regions of the world report very low download speeds.

But luckily, the last patch downloaded without a hitch for me. I'd thank Trion, unless you don't mind
