I won't even get started on the fact that every single one of these complaints insists that their PC is perfect and absolutely cannot be the source of any issues.
there's many switches along the way that can't handle the MTU required by the file server. They should be able to, but are misconfigured or broken. Trion may be able to reduce the MTU, but it'd slow down everyones speeds and increase the overall bandwidth consumption unfortunately. Had the same issue with other patchers recently, but oddly enough, defiance worked fine.
Your Challenger won't drive? You're probably in the passenger seat.
Can't sell/delete an item? Check all of your loadouts, it's likely still equipped.
Auction house? Why? It'll just render bits purchased lock boxes pointless, and weapons are mostly equal anyway.
Gear/enemy progression? No thanks, it'll only render 90% of the content trivial when you reach the highest zone.

    just an fyi guys,

in other patchers, and what the average isp advertises

    teh patcher says 15.x w/e

    what that means is

    1500 kilobytes per second
    1.5 megabytes per second.

so for example that 5.6 rigth above my post here would be

    560 kbps
    or .56 mbps

on other launchers, including steam or speedtest.net.

Thus far my gaming group and I have had zero problems with the patcher. *shrug*

it's not trion and it may not be your computer either. most likely it is a node somewhere in between. my download for the game when they had it in MB was 10MB/s or higher. For the patch when they changed it to Mb/s I stayed in the 90Mb/s the whole download (took about 4 minutes to download).

Maybe do some tracerts and some ping tests on trions server to see where it is along the path that it's failing. Could be a bad node somewhere that needs a few whacks from an IT tech slapper.

When we where able to download and patch before launch I was getting 1meg max download. The latest big patch I was actually getting close to my max 15-16meg DL my max being 18(I usually get 18.5 according to Speedtest) I am in SW Michigan.

Could be your provider doing throttling too. In Victoria BC, through SHAW, I start out at 23mbps but after a minute they do throttling and I go down to .9. at least in that first minute I get 25% of the patch , then 45 minutes or so for the rest.
Jerks, teasing me with high rate. Of course , since speed test only takes 20 seconds for up and down test, I see the high speed and not the real sustained speed.

This right here, please people, remember that MB does not equal Mb nor mb....ffs did everyone forget their conversion when looking at their ISP d/l and up speeds?
