Logging servers becoming the bottle neck as usual, crashing down or being slow, queues to log in. Server instability and new bugs that didn't happen in testing, 2-3 server maintenances in the first two days.

^^ this and one more thing.. IF you are lucky enough to get on and stay on, I expect the lag in the starting area to be horrendous.

Game is pretty much unknown to public so I expect there will be no major issues with servers. Also it's not Trion's first MMO so I guess there will be no troubles with keys/activations.

...Yeaaaaaaauuuhhh that unknown factor? You can say bye to that very soon. Ads are going to start going everywhere, and people will get curious. On the last week before release expect to see lots of new faces. I'm already seeing ads today all over Xbox Live so there's that.

I was in on the Rift Beta as well as the launch and have never seen a better handled MMO with no crashes, no bottlenecked logins or any of the usual issues that creep up. I expect no less from the Deifance launch from Trion given the resources at their disposal.

Having said that once Sony and Microsoft put their hands into the equation, lets just hope it doesn't snafu for the console crowd.

I think we have to be honest with ourselves here. This is an MMO and it will most likely have some major lag and connection problems. I am sure we will get to play a little on launch but don't expect smooth right off the bat. If anyone remembers Rift launch the servers had to come down regularly. Granted these interruptions were needed and only about 30 minutes in length at a time.
I like Trion a lot and they are pretty good at what they do but in reality there will be things that will pop up that will need fixing. It's just the nature of the beast.

I expect I will be patiently* waiting for my copy to come in the mail since I ordered it online. 4 hour round trip to the nearest gamestop and I wanted the UE.

So damn true. lol I also ordered the UE, but was not given the option to pick it up. Bleh. Hoping they let you do a download early, and can apply your code, or let that early beta code work. heh
