I have mixed feelings on this one. Trion did a good job with rift. I am sure we will have a few times the servers get taken down for short periods of time. However it really seems to me they are struggling to get the game ready for its launch and it is not possible to postopone it cus of the show. Guess we will get a good look when they do the final beta week which should have alot more people than the last beta weekends and alpha. Any game with a nda still in place this close to launch worries me.

With all this testing they have been doing the only issue i see is maybe minor server connection issues. Lag should be nearly non-existent (they have dedicated servers) as long as you pick the closest server to you.

Lots of Lag, and despite that, a whole lot of fun too.

I expect for enemies in the starter areas to be nonexistent for about 4-5 hours.

Ghost Recon did it backwards, a beta few beta problems, and the game comes out, reconnecting to host every 5 seconds, or get kicked to the main menu, which by the way hit start button 4 times

I expect to pop in the disc (if I choose to purchase it) sit down and be able to play the game without tons of issues. No hard freezes, no terrible framerate issues, no stupid "cannot complete quest due to quest bug" issues, hit detection to work flawlessly, and minimal lag. I want to be able to play the game and enjoy it. What else would I expect giving money for a product? If a company cannot do this then dont release it until it does do the aforementioned. There is no excuse for things like this to ever happen on consoles because they are all streamlined. There is no spec checks or upgrading cards and drives etc. I know that I can take that game to anyones house who has an xbox or ps3 and I know it will always work.

You mean the few closed beta weekends? There was no real stress test yet.
