Defiance Hard Locking PS3 Forcing File Check

So, I've been having some trouble with this since launch. Could be doing literally anything in the game and it'll just freeze. The only way to reboot my system after this is to hold the power button for up to 20 seconds or pull the plug, both of which bring up the file system check as soon as the console is turned back on.

So I decided to reinstall the game, upon install at around 1 minute left, the game froze yet again. Same thing.

So my question is, anyone else had this problem and how often?

My PS3 is 3 months old, brand new 500gig super slim.

when ever i get that screen I just press circle and it boots up just fine.

sound like you have corrupted systems file or HDD section, luckily there is away to fix that with out you losing your stuff its called PS3 Safe mode and here is a video explain how to enter it:

4. Rebuild Database
are the ones you need to do you won't lose your save data or game data but you will lose all the messages in the inbox

I have a regular slim (160gig) and had this happen Once so far.
most of the time I get dropped, must quit game and re-log in and no problem after that.

I've had this a few times, it's getting pretty old and it's gotta be hard on the playstation

I have a 360 gig and have had it happen 20 plus times. So far hasn't corrupted hard drive
