Playing Defiance outside the U.S.

I'm now wondering two things.

1) Any Australian/Oceanic/Asian servers? I've played Gears of War 3 with the host being from the US and it doesn't lag BECAUSE THE GAME IS WELL CODED. On the other hand, playing A:CM with a US Host just lags the crap outta the game. Both are using UE3 engine but you see the difference in coding and such.

2) If I pre-order the game from Amazon, would I be able to play it on my Xbox 360 System? If I recall correctly, I am in the NTSC-J region/zone/thingy. And there's been reports like in Mass Effect 3 where it's supposedly region-free, people buying the US version cannot play on their console. regarding 1, there are gonna be US and EU servers. No Oceanic servers have been announced for now

I am not 100% sure what options you will have to watch the show outside of the US at this time. But I will do some digging and find out.

As far as regions and servers go... Currently we will have a EU regional server cluster and a US regional server cluster.

As far as I know it will be similar to Rift: you select region in launcher and may switch to US or Europe any time. However there will be separate sets of characters / players: you can't play with your European toon on US servers and vice versa - US servers can't play on your European toon.

Meaning if you want to play during US prime time you should play on US servers. Or just level two toons on both US and European servers (like I did in Rift).

Playing from Singapore, feels like my ping is between 100 - 200, which isn't too bad for a TPS.

I play from Indonesia, on NA server. Don't know the command to check ping in game, but I don't find it laggy.
