I noticed you can walk to doors on the New Freedom. Instead of making a city on the map, how about we use a section of the New Freedom not on fire?
It's supposed to be the equivalent of an aircraft carrier, so it has the room.

Main town in the TV series is called "Defiance" we won't see it until it airs tho, not long now

I am aware of this, I highly doubt that we will go to Defiance, in game, however

Part of the problem is, there is a point to us not being able to go to the town Defiance. They did that for a reason.
Plus, according to the lore, outside of the ER, there aren't many large towns. Making Defiance itself something unique in the world.
My idea to use the New Freedom allows players to have what they want, without ignoring parts of the lore.
Defiance is in St. Louis, we are in San Francisco, were about a couple thousand miles apart.
I'm all for it.
Bunker Bars in Fallen Earth were pretty shweet.
Open up the Crater Bar or something like that. Just have some options like, sitting in a chair. Sitting is so underrated in MMOs, it's something you do in a social hangout. Maybe add other little things like leaning against a wall (Vindictus comes to mind). All of this could be limited to a social hub like the OP mentioned. Doesn't have to be big or extensive or anything.
