Hello!
I have been playing a bit of APB: Reloaded as of late and I couldn't help but think why other 3rd person shooters were not utilizing this wonderful ability to change which shoulder the camera was hovering over! Of course, from there I had a moment of panic in realizing Defiance might be one of those games and so I bring the idea here to the forums!
It's not a overly flashy or even major addition but it is one that adds so much to the feel of dynamic, fast-paced combat, allowing for you to swap your cam from shoulder to shoulder which in turn affecting the side your gun is held as well as aimed. Even more than that, it's something that simply feels like it should belong in a modern 3rd-person shooter by default, much like iron-sights and sprinting.
So here's to me hoping this idea catches on and who knows, maybe the devs might hear of it and like it enough to implement it down the road!
(For those needing a better description as to what I am referring to, here is a link to the basic camera swap. Sadly it does not show him using it while aiming at all but I am sure you get the general idea.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoIlewLZe5Q // PS: The linked video is not my own creation, simply one that worked well for the demonstration. )
