you will never see the enemy, if the camera is bounded to your right shoulder

    in order to see the enemy, you have to strafe left, open yourself, and also, enemy will spot you earlier(even when you open yourself, there is a small time when enemy already see you and you don't see him), so enemy has advantage over you.

    OR you may change camera to left shoulder, and check what's going on there, but you can't, due to lack of feature

    Code:
      ______o  <- enemy
_____
_____
_____
_____
    you-> o
    all ok, you see the enemy, you are prepared

    We absolutely need should swapping. it will make the combat SO much better and much more involved. I don't understand why they didn't add this feature in already.

    From playing Infamous shoulder swapping was awesome. Mass Effect didnt have it but it had cover in place of it. For a run and gun shoulder swap WOULD be awesome... Le sigh... One can dream...

    Can't you pan the camera anyway or is it locked?

    Well, this feature is something that would only add to the game and if we get enough people interested and promoting the idea, perhaps we might see it later down the road?

    guns are made to be held right handed so holding a gun left handed makes no sense unless custom made for left handed

    <==== Happens to be ambidextrous with a preference of using my left hand when writing and such. <.<; But I'm sure there would be some amount of training/practice when it comes to holding a gun beyond how it should typically be held as well, I mean different situations often call for different tactics.

    Anyhoo, anyone who likes the idea of a camera swap in Defiance, feel free to post, if even just a 'totes agree'! We need to express our interest in the idea as a larger base, otherwise we are just some fringe concept.

    Yeah, but positioning the character on the left side is a left handed perspective. The gun should stay in the right hand, that's okay, but give us the ability to "shoulder swap", because I doubt it's extremely inconvenient only for me to play in a left handed perspective as a right handed person.
