I was watching some of the great game footage of Defiance and a question popped in to my head. I couldn't find an answer so I figured I would post and see if anyone knows. Can you have passengers in your vehicles?

in pvp definatly yes. there are vehicles avliable.

in the outside world. i dont know if they have mentioned it offically so ill keep my mouth shut for now

If my memory is correct, I believe it was on the Saturday Live Stream (3/2/13) that they talked about only certain larger vehicles will support passengers. Not all vehicles will have this function. Two in particular that they mentioned in the live stream. One that resembles a Warthog from Halo where there are three players in the vehicle; a driver, side passenger, and a gunner; and one that looks like a large van which they stated can function as a mobile spawn point.

In the previous Livestream they mentioned the challenger specifically. I'd assume that's pvp/pve both. +1 passenger in the challenger.

Ok cool, I wasn't able to get on the last stream. So it looks like it won't be too limited in terms of at least PVP.

You know.. Reading this title and seeing a video about Defiance a few minutes ago where someone hit the water with his vehicle. I'm going to find the biggest ramp in the game that causes you to land in open water, find a passenger, go to the ramp and hop out just in time.

(Not sure if this is possible, but don't ruin it for me just yet!)

Lol that would fun as hell. However, if you jump out it will probably cause the passenger to drop out too.. But even that could become ridiculous lol

To bad for them. You're in control of your own vehicle No passengers? That's a win! Get your own damn car son!

Than I'll just drive along side the shore and jump out. If my passenger is forced out, byebye
