I think its more difficult for players who don't use specific weapons as I just get tired of having to **** with the instant kills I give to the midgets and even more annoyed of having to run behind them and shoot them in the back while they try to flame me and hope they can make it to Jack before they die.

Phases.

First Phase.

Kill all the mobs as they come in. Hide behind the crates.

Cut scene happens, Rosa hits a burners tank, he runs under Jackleg. Breaking his shield, light him up.

Phase 2: Do the same. Except this time, the burners pop out, melee them, shoot their tank. They run under Jackleg, break his shield. Light 'em up. Keep doing that.

He'll drop down. Light him up like one of the black lungs. Make sure...HEADSHOTS.

Seconding the suggestion to use grenades; pyro or bio. Lob them right in front of where the smelters spawn (you get a sense of the timing pretty quick). They'll come out, hit the fire or goo, and turn around and run right back into the furnace. Makes that phase of the mission much easier.
