Guild leaderboards

I was wondering today if the is going to be some sort of global leadeboard for guild/clans?
I mean for example to show which guild has the most points and is the most active in the game.
These points could be accumulated by doing arkfall events as a clan and instances. The more players participating in arkfall from one clan the more points .
That would be a cool feature for tracking which guild is the most powerfull and give new players something to desire like enlisting for guild spots.

I havent seen anything about a leaderboard for guilds yet might be under NDA. But that would be kool to have to compare guilds.

Yeah thats why I am asking about it. Beside leta face in Defiance you hunt for arktech ao it is natural you will form alliances and the word will spread about whos group is the best etc (i am talking about sort of story background from my point of view). Such a feature would be great within game.

I dont think its coding problem. Most of the game have leadeboards on xbox and yes the are only individual player stats but hey guild leadeboard would be individual too just score would be combined from players within that guild and if they have a problem with displaying it instantly they could do it daily or even weekly if that helps

This is prolly something a community site will track via guilds communicating their points to someone that will keep track of it. That';s how it usually works in most PC MMOS

Thats a good point but dont forget that this is also console game and most of console gamers play in living room away from pc and forums. So having that in mind gaming on a console is slightly different and different rules apply. For example I am the only one from my friends on xbox that is actually lurking on a forums, the rest just cant be arsed. Besides as I mentioned most of the games on consoles have leadeboards and I think it wouldnt be hard to get it to work in-game.

Valid point, but it only takes one rep to "be arsed" to hit a forum an send in an update anytime there's a significant change in guild/clan stats. True point in console coding with the differant rules, but let's also face it: MMO's are PC territory, the conept was born on a PC, it was cultivated on a PC, and it was polished on a PC, the fact that consoles have had MMOS and are branching out into it, means that they coming into PC land, and the rules are gonna have to change, or the coders are gonna have to work a way around it.

Alot of consolers are under the mindset that Defiance is gonna be an open world CoD and MW clone, which it's not. So basically, the way I see the guild rankings working, is that someone will have to get off their couch an flip on the laptop/desktop an post to a tracking site once in a while, until the codes are worked out to do it for them.
