Valid point, but it only takes one rep to "be arsed" to hit a forum an send in an update anytime there's a significant change in guild/clan stats. True point in console coding with the differant rules, but let's also face it: MMO's are PC territory, the conept was born on a PC, it was cultivated on a PC, and it was polished on a PC, the fact that consoles have had MMOS and are branching out into it, means that they coming into PC land, and the rules are gonna have to change, or the coders are gonna have to work a way around it.

Alot of consolers are under the mindset that Defiance is gonna be an open world CoD and MW clone, which it's not. So basically, the way I see the guild rankings working, is that someone will have to get off their couch an flip on the laptop/desktop an post to a tracking site once in a while, until the codes are worked out to do it for them.

No idea how some console players will think this will be a CoD or MW clone when it's TPS.

I'm one of the Console players but also a PC players, I'm just getting it on xbox.

I think that most are comparing it to gears of war. My wife and Me are big PC MMO gamers but we have been playing BOPs 2 with friends so were getting it on xbox too , but if my wife had it her way we'ed play on the PC lol. I've also played alot of mmos that have a leader for PVP just none realy for guilds and guild events. there could be a reason why?

ghost recon does have squd stats or clan stats but going on what your post that does sound like an awesome idea im sure they have something up their sleeve

My point on the whole thing is that this feature would bring you closer to the lore of Defiance (I am not a roleplayer myself to clarify that) and for me playing mmos is interacting with the world at hand getting that feeling that you belong... We will be ark hunters from 2 April and bounty hunter board/leaderboards for the best of us/clans in my opinion is a great idea.

I agree that console mmo draw from pc mmo pools BIG time and therefore some things cant change. Every platform has got its weak and strong points. Console gamers will have their Next-Gen miracle this year thats for sure and as Sony presented it is going to be about social interactions and communities. Having that in mind why not bring these social interactions (even small) to this gen consoles? Take a look at Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 - you can publish videos to youtube straight from your console, dont forget about Call Of Duty Elite where you can view clans, players and all the stats in the world you want to see.

Lastly I am not trying to argue with you about it, my OP was about the idea and possibilities of that happening, not trying to say that xbox or ps3 is superior over pc. Mmos were born on pc and thats where they grew and will flourish.
Defiance will be lets see 3rd mmo to come to xbox, ppl are excited about it happening at last! Just trying to point that even though mmos 'belong' on pc things can change...

[edit] Just one more thing. Silly mobile games that call themselves mmos like Galaxy Empire or Clash Of Clans (both strategy mmos) have guild leaderboards so why not Defiance?

Aye, dont get me wrong, I'd love to have in game boards/stats for both cross platform and same platform. Be able to form alliances/rivalries, place bounties, etc. Would definately be a major immersion helper. I've always hoped from day 1 of readong the "about defiance" section, that even tho we can't go pc vs xbox vs ps3, that eventually there will be tournements or events that allow us to for a limited time.

I know that we'll unlock special outfits in pvp,so others gamers can see how good you play,but a ranking system,i don't know.As a gamer,i don't care. With or without if i enjoy Defiance,i'll play the game...But why not.There are a lots of stuffs that we don't know about it.

Right I dont know if you guys have noticed but there is a nice feature on Trions website right under your EGO where we were putting our arkfall codes, it is a nice page about stats, clan stats and personal achievements. Check it out!
