Advice on shields

What shield do you use?
Is there a best shield or do they seem all fairly balanced?

In particular I enjoy meleeing a good bit in this game, maybe unloading a clip of an infector while it DPS then finish melee and have parasites or use a shotgun. Suggestion for shield for that play style?

I always use the one with 40% recharge and 3 sec delay (forgot the name sorry ). Other ones for me seem to have way too long recharge for the amount of shield they have.

There is always a trade off. You can have 2 good stats and one less than stellar stat. In general, the most versatile and consistent shield is the Respark series. If you want a high risk/reward shield look for a Shield with the Contender modifier, i believe it gives +X% to melee damage on shield break.

I personally use the Rhino series because i use and abuse cloak in PvE and PvP.

I feel it doesnt matter your shields drop in 2 seconds flat from gun fire

I prefer lots of capacity on my shield and always look for hp regen,
it helps me alot when my shield drop to zero.

I prefer sniping with an assault rifle as a secondary or shotgun, and I like to do both PVP and PVE, so I went with the highest all-around shield. I forget which one that is, but I don't necessarily know the difference between the bottom stat and the middle stat. Can anyone inform me?

Exactly you hide for 3 second and full shield again better then higher capacity which is why delay is the best.

Wow i havnt managed to find a shield with a 3 sec delay on recharge. =O

Middle stat = how much it will recharge, and bottom stat is the time it will take, i.e a shield with 40% and a 3 sec timer will recharge 40% every 3 seconds once it starts charging.

Oh and if anyone is around level 750 and doesnt have a shield like that message me in game i have a few.
