    Be Creative (and Create!)

Since I'm bored and this is the Off Topic Section, I'm going to be off-topic:

Here's the deal. Make up a word for a creature/being and the next poster can give the description for said creature/being. (And please be respectful and watch your language) I'll start:

This creature is called a fin'ian.

A fin'ian is a bioengineered coffee pot that ingests the beans, digests the beans, and through a process similar to that found when a civet digests coffee beans, ends up producing the most balanced, delicious coffee on this side of Defiance. Once digested, the coffee extract is literally urinated into a skin pouch. Coffee is milked from one of three large nipples located on this skin pouch; wear your gloves because the fin'ian has a resting temperature of 366.483 kelvin. God bless terraforming for bringing us the fin'ian.

A Gaxixoppulux was a hybrid of both plant and animal DNA, known to grow large chromatic sacks along it's dorsal spine. The creature creates an aroma as it floats on the surface akin to raw sewage, it's diet being mainly consisting of toxic water that is radiated by sun rays until it evaporates leaving behind whatever bio-materials are available. The Gaxixoppulux floats helplessly in the large bodies of toxic water until coming into contact with another Gaxixoppulux to breed. This process involves the opening of chromatic sacs on each creature which tragically contain magnesium based reproductive cells which explode on contact with water.

While reproductive rates are low, Gaxixoppulux has been known to cost many uneducated Ark hunters their lives during mating season. Remember spay or neuter your Gaxixoppulux today!

The majestic Reeshu'taun is truly one of Defiance's most bizarre yet noble creatures.

This unique organism is easily recognized by its most prominent trait - its enormous testicles. Located where a typical creature would have eye sockets, the Reeshu'taun's reeshuhood completely obscures its own skull. While part of the Reeshu'taun's reproducing anatomy, these organs also double as "eyes" for the creature. Numerous sensitive "feelers" protrude out of the organs that can sense the slightest change in wind, temperature, and can even detect changes in seismic activity.

Due to its impressive stature, the Reeshu'taun (Or "Testitaun" as it is often referred) is often hunted for sport. Many tribes believe that consuming the main organ of these creatures bestows one a greater endowment. Sadly, due to this the creature has been hunted to near extinction. There are only several dozen believed to remain in the wild.

    ---------------------Game Warden's Warning-----------------------------------------------------

It should be noted that engaging a Reeshu'taun is extremely hazardous and ill-advised. In particular, if the creature is in the middle of its self-reproducing ritual. The Reeshu'taun's organs become extremely rigid - to the point of becoming nigh-impenetrable with small arms fire. Special "ball breaker" ammunition has been manufactured to deal with such situations.

It's a new coffee from Starbucks, made from the tears of all the failed former workers it will drain the life force of all people who drink it and then it will transfer it's energy to the main pot in Starbucks HQ and will help fuel the massive evil robot they are building

Since a new animal name wasn't provided, I will start this over.

Svínhelvíti: Often referred to as nature's answer to the hot pocket, the Svínhelvíti resembles a large, four eyed hamster. The males are covered in a drab, grayish fur that turns bright red when they are disturbed. The females are always bright red. Svínhelvíti reproduce asexually and emit a deafening shrill scream when a newly formed Svínhelvíti separates from the originating animal. When skinned and roasted alive over an open flame, the Svínhelvíti's bones and internal organs melt into a substance akin to Gouda. The outer layer of muscle transforms into a delicious crust, trapping the cheesy goodness inside. One must be very careful while eating a Svínhelvíti, lest they loose a part of their face to the molten liquid trapped within it.

    Next up, the Fluttmypper.

    Fluttmypper:

Many have described the Fluttmypper as a hairless bear covered in reptilian-like scales. These scales glisten in the sun to create an iridescent and mystifying rainbow of colors. Zoologists speculate that the animal has developed these scales due to the original pair's close proximity to the Twilight Saga series of books when the alien DNA was violently melded with their own ursine genes. Fluttmyppers believe that they are vampires that sparkle in the sun. They try to wear their fur in emo-type styles and are known for practicing very unbelievable acting skills. When not obsessing about all things Twilight these creatures spend their time foraging for moldy pizza, synchronizing clips of The Wizard of Oz to the music of Pink Floyd and partaking of several "last dances with Mary Jane." If you ever are confronted by a fluttmypper simply close your eyes, count to 5, hop on one foot for 8 seconds and shout, "I love lamp! I! LOVE! LAMP!" at the top of your lungs and the creature should retreat. If not, you may need new underwear.

The Tenliop is a terraformed extraction of the Sciuridae family, or commonly known as squirrel. This variation is still small, growing to be only the size of 10 inches from the ground to the highest point of the shoulder blades. But, unlike the squirrel, the Tenliop can reach lengths of 3 feet or more, from the tip of its 4 nostril nose to the tip of its barbed tail. This extraordinary length accommodates the Tenliop's 4 pair of legs as well as its two arms, which are also untilized during locomotion. Though it feeds on wild berries and roots, the Tenliop is capable of a carnivorous diet. That is where the barbed tail comes into play. The tail has a dense network of muscles running its entire length which enables the creature to fling the barbed end of the tail in any direction and with considerable force. Once the barbs find purchase in a target, two fluid sacs at the base of the barbs constrict to inject a low-level toxin that affects the nervous system of the target, rendering it paralyzed and unable to escape. This fact would not be troublesome to anyone attacked by a single Tenliop. It is rather unfortunate that, unlike its squirrel cousins, the Tenliop will hunt in packs of five or more.
