no weapon skill increase with arkfalls!!! kinda long.

Why in the world does my weapon skill not increase with arkfalls? I have tested this out myself and it is true. If they expect us to run ark falls over and over again without proper loot drops and Xp from said 20 minutes at a time then not allow our weapon skill to increase for shooting our gun the entire time is a GROSS oversite. These arkfalls were a major selling point of the game yet there are so many better ways to spend your time in this game without sacrificing my weapon skill increase. what's more likely getting kicked at an ark fall or doing random side missions and encounters that take far less time and give u better xp and levels your Weapon at the same time. If I'm out of line in my thinking I would like to know so I can adjust my expectations.

Yes the weapon was not maxed my friend discovered the same thing both his and my weapon was close to leveling after ten minutes of Ark falling no increase. Then the first random encounter post that ark fall 2 clips of my weapon the weapon leveled same with my friend.

Arkfalls do not award weapon experience. Whether this is a big or intended is anyone's guess.

You only receive "weapon XP" from targets that give you "normal (yellow bar) xp". The hellbugs and scrappers in all phases of Major Arkfalls do not reward any kind of xp.

However, the foes in Minor events (like "Prosperity in '99" minor arkfall) give normal xp and also weapon xp.

Good to know I will do small ark falls then but the large ones still seem a waste of my time as I still have a lot of side quests to do

I like it this way.

It is meant to stop players from farming Arkfalls over and over.

I do not farm and I have leveled up my weapons and skill one heck of a lot.

Maybe you do not know this? But there are Story Missions and Side Missions to level up.

Not sure about the ego exp gain thing in arkfalls but Hellbugs and Scrappers do not award any kind of weapon exp in both minor and major arkfalls which is really really lame.

Mutant, Raider, and 99ers arkfalls do award exp however. I hope the hellbug and scapper exp thing is a bug.

Lol, screw the Major arkfalls, all you need to do is go to the last stage where boss spawns and fire one round and then go back to what you were doing.
