I guess you're lucky or I am really unlucky. I cant do the Mount Tam racing achievements because I keep getting 5 seconds added on to the tranquility lane one, which makes it pretty much impossible for me.

Yup same here as of a moment ago. It's ironic cause this should be one of the easier ones I would think.. but it's so short that adding any time to the end gives u silver at best.

Time Trials - Trying my patience
OK, driving in this game doesn't bug me. However, having to restart each time trial 5 or 6 times because the stupid arches that I AM passing underneath do not register! WTH!
It seems every one that I have done so far has this problem, the first gate doesn't respond, whoops, i have to restart again, and again, and again, 6 times later, finally it starts to work. Its super crap when I finally get one going and miss a gate, or just get bronze, then i have to start the 6 times all over again...

This was addressed in the patch, however.. a new problem as shown its face.

Some of the checkpoints do not register you passing through them.

Everything I've seen says thats a server problem. I quit trying the Dodge High Speed event because of it. And now in my attempt to get the black charger Tranquility Sprint is still adding time. I've had the gold 4 times in a row now.

Also...I've had much better success with the time trials when its earlier in the morning. for example. yesterday I couldn't get any gates to trigger. So i gave up. Then when i got back on this morning they all triggered just fine and I got golds on all that I did. Now its 730 pm and everyone is off of work and playing so the server is having a hard time keeping up. (Thats my guess anyway)

I spent an hour trying to get gold on 3 trials, what i learned was this. For some odd reason restarting a trial will take the first ring out of the equation and have it already Done/completed, so if it has a boost+, thats an auto restart for me. If i hold onto the gas before it says go the first ring or second ring wont respond for 5 seconds or more. After restarting multiple times the quickest way to avoid glitches for me was to, restart till all rings spawn, sit tight and leave the keyboard and mouse alone till i see the word "Go" and hope for the best. 90 percent of the time it stopped glitching for me, but it could just be me.

there may be something to this as the time added seems to be the amount of time im holding throttle before count down finishes. I've also seen plenty of server side lag issues long before i had trouble with time trials so its likely its the problem. It feels like the server cant quite handle all the players on during the day. I have a good connection, so that isnt the problem

edit: tried waiting right untill the Go a few times, still adds 2 seconds

I had this happen to me on 2 of the time trials one day, but the next day I came back and they worked properly. Sledgehammer just put out a post saying they are actively working on fixing this bug so it shouldn't be too much longer before it's fixed.

Everything timed does this to me I find it kind of annoying to hear the EGO start to count down from 5 and only say five before ending the count down. Its always a 3-5 second add for me and I a have a what I think of a decent connection at 40mbps down/20mbps up. And it doesn't matter the time of day or night it still does this to me.

Taking a break from time trials. For the last trial I ran, Gold was 2:05, I crossed the finish line at 2:06, and the game recorded my time at 2:10. I hope this issue is resolved soon.

Terrible vehicle handling + terrible track design + non-instanced courses + lag = unfun EGO grind.
