Let me put it this way:

How much crap have people had to put up with from Microsoft over the years?

PC games are built on top of a foundation that's barely sturdier than a house of cards, and it shows.

While I disagree that they get a free pass (a lot of people complain, comment, and ask for refunds daily) for things like this, I agree that it is widely known and semi-accepted that ****ty launches are going to happen with MMOs.

When you release a product for so many different types of PCs with so many different hardware setups and driver setups, things will get crazy. Also, people forget to update their video or audio drivers, and that causes issues as well. Not to mention now with Defiance, going cross-platform, is adding exponentially more to the mix.

Beta and Alpha testing will usually eliminate the bigger and badder bugs, but you're still going from like 50,000 unknown rigs to test on, to like 500,000 (or much, much more) rigs to test on.

I guess it is so widely "accepted" because there's virtually no way around it at this point.

Are you sure that you're qualified to post a thread like this?

You're ridiculously rude in the forums or at least to me. I posted a thread asking if people saw the "Defiance & Psych Crossover Commercial" and you replied (and I quote):

Well, you were quite vague about it, still have no clue as you didn't elaborate as to what it was that was show or how it was a cross-over commercial. Wasn't trying to be a dbag, I was genuinely curious as to what you were talking about.

Hell, it took Wow nearly 6 months to become totally stable. If Trion gets everything undercontrol in the first month, let alone the first week. It would be a testament to the brilliance of their Engineering staff.

Well, there's also this, which explains some of the threads.

I know for a fact that WoW still has bugs that are several years old that have never been fixed. I doubt there's an MMO of any type that doesn't have a handful of them that the dev team was never able to step on hard enough to eliminate.

Ive played a few MMO's over the years and i havent found one that doesnt have a few bugs and such at launch and then maybe a week or two after. ill stick with it though because it can only get better.
But now i find myself at a crossroads though, finished the main story so far and all sides, and now im trying to level my guns, which is a bit tricky at the moment because allmost all arkfalls and co-op maps dont seem to register me doing any damage.
I just hope they address this issue come TV launch, other wise ill have to put it down till it is fixed.
This is some fun stuff i dont wanna put it down ^^

    ALL OF THEM

Except for Rift. Made by Trion.
Looks like u wasnt there. I left Rift after first "free month" after release. PvP was ridiculous, as some combos were able to "charge" at u and killl u in single global. "bomber" class with incredible burst dmg with huge aoe and dot all at once and from huge distance. And those "fire mages"....

Trion failed with PvP balance in Rift so i simply left as i didnt wanted to spend money for garbage PvP. Atleast this one is without subscription.
