I'm having the same problem is frustrating. It shows I should get gold but it gives me silver. I've retried the first race so many times without making any mistakes and still I haven't been able to get gold. FYI I'm on the PC.

Even with the 3-5 sec I've noticed being added golds are still in reach on all races (360)
Worst feeling is getting 2:29 when the gold medal is 2:30 and.... bam it turns into 2:31/2:32 and silver medal. Happened to me a couple of times doing my black dodge challenger.
Temporary solution; Combat a glitch with a glitch. As soon as you press restart immediately start button mashing X to get out of the vehicle. When the timer starts you should be out of your vehicle, spawn another and you have 2-3 seconds of free drive time before the timer says 'Go!'. Gives you a 2-3 second head start if pulled off correctly.

Had the same problem also. I've been watching the timer on the screen, as soon as I cross the finish line. I usually see 3 - 9 seconds added to my time. It does make it very frustrating at times to even make silver on some of the races.
I have experienced the same problem, Tranquility Sprint, I could always get gold in alpha, but on live the timer adds 8 seconds or so.
I ran at 7:30am est sunday morning, so I don't see how it could be lag at that time and day.
I didn't run too many races in alpha, but the ones I did, I could get good times, In live I can't get gold anywhere or anytime.
That's not true. It's nearly true, but not quite. The first two races you encounter in game, are straight sprints. They are very short, and the timing is very, very close. I get good enough to get gold on my end, then the game adds anywhere from 2-6 seconds for me.Originally Posted by LCplRoss

Happened to me last night. I was doing the Tiburan Uplands time trial and I had to keep on repeating it because of random events and a major arkfall spawning within the course. I was on I think my 10th attempt to get a Gold on it and I was keeping a close eye on the timer when I made that final jump before the yellow gate and it said 2:19, but when I got the results, it said 2:28. I was PISSED.

Was happening pretty consistantly to me on the PC, but I found after a server restart a few days back I suddenly was able to do races without it happening. Got Golds on three races that had been frustrating the hell out of me prior.
It is pretty bad. I even decided to cheat (get off the runner and spawn my own to start early) finished at 41s and got silver with a time of 54s.
Just chiming in to confirm that I'm also seeing it. I just finished Tranquility Sprint at :36 and the time that got recorded for me was :45. Second and third runs were; :37/:40, :40/:44
At this point I've given up completely on doing time trials. I'll try them again when this issue is fixed.
