More difference in class choice (character creation)

    Veteran
    Survivalist
    Outlaw
    Mashinist

soooo...is there a reason to chose one of them?
no...not realy. the only thing that is different is the starter-outfit and weapon...that can be buyed at the first vendor.
wouldnt it be interesting if there would be small passive bonuses for them?
you could get a small XP boost in your weapon category
a small (very small) damage bonus
    increased maximum ammo
etc etc, all of them increasing with your ego-level over time.

(also i would love to see something like a medic choice)

Well actually you left out a good reason to be a certain class, synergy bonuses from certain items & mods.
    Thank you, -Slay

    _____________My Suggestions_____________
Add aim assist to consoles - Cloak/Shotgun Fixes
Add radios to cars - Clan stratocarrier with Concept Art

the medic choice refers to the other idea^^
if there would be a passive-system, then we would need a class for infector/bmg

what do you mean with synergy bonus?
i have found a few interesting, i thought the "veteran" synergy would be better with the "veteran" class...but its only a name.
if there would be a special class-specific-synergy system (class specific set bonus), that would be interesting too

There are no classes. Or rather ... over time you'll be able to make your own class with the different perk combinations, EGO power, weapon sub types and free choise of synergy bonus. For the better or worse, this is just how it is and a valid design choice.

ps: Medic makes absolutely no sense ... your an Ark Hunter, not a soldier.

pps: What choising a class does is giving you an unique outfit that represets what your dude was before getting into Ark Hunting.

ppps: While you always have just one active EGO power the magnitude of choice is quite amazing in this game and quite frankly a lot larger than with most MMO RPGs.
This becomes more appearant the more of your EGO grid unlocks and you'll fing more and more different advanced weapons as you gain in rating.

your 'class' doesn't affect synergies at all

yeah, but what is the sense of chosing one of these, if you cahnge it in the first hour?
they could remove this thing completely.

It has the same system as dark/demon souls, where the "class" you pick just gives you your starting equipment and you are completly free to change and customize your character to what ever play style you prefer.

The 'class' only affects what outfit you start with, and the initial primary weapon you start with; that's all. Everything else is the same from that point onward (as a shooter, it's not so much about 'classes'). Personally, I think a lot of this confusion could have been avoided if they had the Outfit and Starting Weapon as one of the choices in the Character Creator, just like hair color, beard style, etc., but ah well.
