In all honesty, Nim DESTROYED me 4 times in a row.
Then, I went and bought a BMG and simply held down RT and jumpped over and over and I beat him in about 30 mins. (10 mins each stage) VERY easy with a BMG

I finally did it, I was in there for 45 minutes on the last phase, F me! I still believe it is very unbalanced towards the rest of the game boss mobs and I am still shaking self medication is an awesome perk.

I am a middle aged guy. I have tried it 20 times or more and just got sick of it so cancelled the quest and haven't looked back. I may try it again later at some point because I really want to finish it. First 2 phases weren't that hard but I always get killed on the 3rd phase which everyone says is the easiest.

I have a way to do this without a BMG. I died once and had to self-revive but other than that I was ok (if you knew the fight you could not die at all). I have it on fraps, but it's all just lots of different videos. Can anyone tell me of any free software I can combine the raw AVIs then compress them for uploading? I will be very happy to show how I beat Nim. I found a way to make the third phase reasonably easy as long as you can dodge roll (i rebound it to mouse). The way I did it you could use an immobile weapon like an LMG but it would take a long time. I suggest not using an infestor type weapon (I had one on secondary then half way through started to realise it didn't do much). I used a pulsar with a run and gun sort of style. I was kind of annoyed how he negated my cloak most of the time but I still found it useful once I got the hang of it.

I bet everyone that is whining about the difficulty is playing on console, the solution for those people is to team up or get the game on PC.

I DONT WANT THE GAME TO BE MORE EASY JUST BECAUSE THE CONTROLLER HANDICAPS YOU!
Yeah cant act fast enough while holding a controller designed for making quick actions. Oh and by the way, your last statement should read, "I don't want the game to be easier just because the controller handicaps you." I guess grammar is your handicap.

I just used a corrosive LMG in P1, kept spraying him in the face with overcharge on. I was able to do so much damage he would keep teleporting without attacking even. Obviously just spam roll when he did.

I did this the first attempt I tried.
-The main thing is YOU CAN NOT STAND STILL. You have to keep moving, even when shooting.
-The second part is YOU CAN NOT STAND STILL. (a bit repititous? yes it is, however everyone I have talked to said they had an issue and I asked how they tried and they all had the same issue.)
You will need two types if weapons one short range the other long range. I personally took a shotgun with a wide pattern, the other was an automatic assault weapon.

When he starts to charge you in phase 1, just look at him, if he is looking at you, take two steps to the left or right, and he will run past you. When he stands still you can shoot him a few times.
Phase two when he splits up, the mirror images have low hp, just shoot them until you can find one that takes more damage, and does not disappear, keep going on him until he disappears.
The final phase is very simple, when he jumps up and starts to glow, go around a pillar and wait for him to blow up then go around the corner and shoot.
The first one was a bit of a struggle, but the other two were easy.

Just downed him for the first time.

I only went down once and had to self revive in phase 2.

My take on this fight is patience patience patience.

I used a BMG which slows the enemies movements while attacking in all 3 phases.

I used the 2 pillars in phase 2 and 3 to run a figure 8 when trying to line of sight his big aoe attacks.

His shadow clones fell pretty easily to a BMG which made it simple to avoid them while they moved slower.

My perks were pretty basic. I had the 4% less damage overall and the 20% less damage from behind.

I tried the flash grenade which didn't work so switched in mid fight during phase 2 to the flame.

I used decoy and it worked very VERY well.

Anytime it was up i used it immediately. Sometimes i timed its used when he was getting to close for comfort. If he stuck to me i just swapped places ran and healed up.

Fight wasn't insane but it wasn't a cake walk either. You have to recognize his attack animations and know where you need to stand to get yourself out of line of sight.

Fun fight and happy to be done with it on my first try.

Wow, I feel so worthless after trying for a week and failing. All these people have managed to complete this fight in very few attempts. I have probably lost over 20,000 scrip doing this fight. I have the most success with the BMG but still have never completed phase 1.
