Yeah, I'm seeing that on the single-shell reloading shotgun. If I get interrupted (and sometimes if I don't) in the middle of the reload, it goes back to start. I think that may be as it's designed, as the interruption can happen with other weapons, but it's a bit unrealistic. Yes, I understand the irony.![]()
It happens mostly with shotguns but i've seen it occur a few times with assault rifles as well, pretty sure its not supposed to work like this as Franko suggested because I doubt highly your supposed to lose ammo without getting a reload!
I've been getting this for awhile on the assault rifle, now on the LMG and shotguns. It seems to have gotten a lot worse for me lately. Sometimes the phantom reload will happen until I'm out of ammo.
At this point I've stopped playing until there is a fix.
I noticed that same issue with my SAW tonight.
I'd take off running after the sym or monarch at an arkfall, and hit reload.
When I got where I was going the weapon was empty, so I'd reload it again.
After it went through the motions it was still empty.
My digital said I had ammo.
There was no red 'No Ammo' flashing.
Swapped to my CS-X til it ran dry, and when I swapped back it was loaded by the perk.
OMGosh yes, and it is the #1 thing that gets me killed, lol. Being that I love the shotgun, the whole not wanting to reload can be a little annoying.
I have the exact same issues but its for almost all of my weapons. Every 3rd reload or sometimes every other reload it happens to me while in a fight. It is a constant problem and I have found no easy way to stop it from happening. Best way to avoid it I found is to run out of ammo on one of the weapons the switch to the other with a full mag. After the second weapon mag is empty switch back to the other and reload it.
It is being address in the 1.0.4 patch.
I've had issues with this too. Fortunately, switching to your other weapon and back again seems to fix the problem - still wastes time, and you have to pay attention every time you reload, but it works in a pinch. Also, with pump shotguns, I think if you start firing before you fully reload, you can circumvent the problem - it only kicks in when the mag is full.
