    Mission difficulty too hard

First off let me start off by saying that most people will respond to this post with the reply that I as a gamer should just get better and let me tell u, that in fact is not the case. There is a huge problem with an aspect of how these missions are designed. In the case that u have a npc ally in a mission and that ally dies more enemies are added continuously until the npc is revived and the mission becomes increasingly harder as if dying isnt punishment enough. This simple mistake in design makes some missions almost unbeatable and makes the game, to me at least, not even playable.

I have never had that problem. I just kill all the enemies and revive the ally. Sure they come in waves, but that cuts out after a bit.

Edit: Also, if it is really a problem, flashbang the enemies near the ally, revive ally, kill enemies.

Some of the first missions with Cass are hard yes, it gets really easy if you don't do it by yourself though.

Say you are doing a mission and some other player is in vicinity or just roaming around. Game assumes he is also the participant and the number of enemies double and elites begin to spawn.

The other players leave and you are left hanging with elites and a lot more enemies than you should have got. Happened to me so many times.

No, there is specific ammount that enemies spawn in missions and if you dont revive that npc, you can just kill enemies until they stop spawning and then revive him

Just kill all the enemies and rez the NPC after. Most people have finished this game so where do you think the problem really lies?

The worst I have performed was dying 5 times during a mission, but I didn't see any penalty. Was it my scripts that were deducted?

I originally thought the difficulty level was impressive. "WOW, those guys just kicked my ***!"

...And then I got Stealth, a Flashbang Grenade, and a Shotgun with more than 10 rounds. With all the +Crit perks surrounding the Stealth ability, my damage has gone through the roof. I two-shot or three-shot most humanoid mobs from stealth- even those with shields.

Stuns with the FB grenade are great, and give you time to regroup and re-assess the situation, reload, and kick some more ***. I think the problem a lot of players are having is a focus on grabbing perks and setting up their characters to deal maximum damage (glass cannons, as it were), and fail to get defensive perks like 'Cellular Armor' (constant dmg reduction), 'Regeneration'(constant HP regen), and the like.

I started out using Overcharge, and quickly dumped it when I realized I can't deal ANY damage if I'm dead. Decoy and Stealth are awesome abilities; if you haven't tried them, I suggest it.

I tend agree with the OP, up to a point. I play solo, and there have been missions where I have stuggled through 3 waves of 10+ enemies each wave, and just as I think I'm in the clear with two red units of health and ZERO shield left, EGO chirps, "Uh-oh, we have more 99ers coming from...RIGHT BEHIND YOU!!!!!" And I get slaughtered. Oh, I keep going back until I get through the mission, but some missions take place nearly a kilometer away from an extraction point! It gets frustrating.

It would be nice if the system could assess the number of players attempting the mission and reduce the number of units per wave. Something like: 1 player=7 units per wave, 2 players=15 units per wave, 3 players=30 units, and so on.

It isn't a deal breaker for me, but I have said enough dirty words getting slaughtered umpteen times during missions that I expect my mom to come back from the grave and wash my mouth out with dish soap...just before she eats my brains because she'd be a freaking ZOMBIE!!!!!!!!

But I have noticed I'm getting more cautious and learning how to find cover a LOT faster. In the game, not while fending off my zombie mom.
If at first you don't succeed, reload and shoot again.--advice from a crazy but much-loved uncle.
