GW2 put in gear progression (AKA grind this instance 1000 times for tokens or random drops to upgrade your equipment using random crafting) and I quit that game once that patch came out.

I will not grind for gear I need to play the game. I was completely happy in GW2 when I bought max stat gear for a few gold and could concentrate on just obtaining new models for my gear. I DO NOT enjoy being forced to grind instances just to earn gear I need for later instances.

I like Defiance the way it is. The only option I would like is to pay 50% of the weapons cost to reset the experience bar.

I agree to being able to reset the exp bar. Wouldn't hurt *cough, wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

Not gonna happen, as it will hurt their Lock Box sales via the Cash Shop.

How is that? You buy boxes to get better gear. You don't buy boxes for trash gear just to level you weapon role.

I think you are right in a way. I really enjoy the game...loved it for a good week...but it does get stale pretty quick simply because there is a lack of innovation/variation in what you are doing. The weapon upgrade system is very addictive I would prefer to see that worked on so weapons can stay the same as they are now but the mods are worked on so we get better stats from them. A bit of variation in the gameplay department as well and I will be a happy gamer. Ive gone from playing it as my only interest to now picking it up for half hour inbetween playing other games.

Now People need to swich out their guns constantly (regardless green, blue, Purple, Orange) to continue leveling their weapon skill.
If you get Your Nice Orange weapon + mods.... you could just continue on using it forever, due to lack of progression this game has.
So then no one would buy Lock boxes anymore when they got their favorite weapon(s).

Now you need to constantly switch weapons to continue on leveling Your weapon skill Level = more Lock Box sales!

Or, you can train weapon skills separately from the actual usage of them (or use weaker guns in no brainer events)

yes, every time a new game comes out you will have the usual wowtards coming out to complain that there isn't enough content, that there is no 'progression', no LFG tool etc etc. It's pointless even trying to communicate with them. If we are lucky, as usual they will get bored of trolling and move on to the next game to come out. That's what they do

PS before someone spazzes hard, wowtard NOT EQUAL TO wow player

Because making an mmo with bad communication and nothing for groups to do is smart right? If the game was more fun people wouldn't care as much about loot. Defiance simply isn't fun, especially for groups and this was supposed to be an mmo. I mean after making Rift I really don't understand how Trion could produce such an uninspired mmo experience.

Imagine if Rift released with 1 small continent and no challenging group content, like no end game dungeons or raids. Also replace most of the quests with interchangeable, generic fetch quests. Generic to the point where it even plays the same sound bites for each one. Now remove pretty much all of the customization. Yeah, it would not be nearly as good and that's what we have here. Shooting things is cool and all, but there's not much of a game here.

Come on man, don't be such a mindless defender. You aren't helping the game, quite the opposite in fact. I think most people really wouldn't worry about lack of progression as much if they simply had something interesting to do or a challenge to overcome.
