There are numerous third-party web pages have been designed to test your Internet connection speed.I used to check my internet sped in this site http://www.scanmyspeed.com/ and i posted my results below
Download speed : 28 Mbps
upload speed :4.890 Mbps
PSN::Yugureki
Crown the Empire<3
Skype: RaimeOtaku
https://twitter.com/Duskkys
Duskky, Saving men from awkwardness since '96
It is nice to see that even though my connection can't match the giants here, it is still relatively fast compared to the affordable ones

My best results from the test:
My results are only slightly above average at best, not the fastest but It's been fast enough.
I wish I had a better ISP after seeing some of the results other people are getting.
My test results using a server in Dallas,TX:
not as good as my other results.
http://www.scanmyspeed.com/ gave me different results though
Download:40.14 Mbps (not what I expected)
Upload: 1.463 Mbps(around the same speed as the other test)
Testing my internet speed doesn't work where I'm living because all the towns in a three-hour radius are barely using DSL at this point. *facepalm*
Like the whole southern half of New Mexico is like 5-10 years behind the rest of the civilized USA.
EDIT: I just set the server to Albuquerque because the local servers clearly are shtako (I love using that word), and got basically what I'm paying for:
Speeds could be better but not surprising for 20bux and living in a farm-town.

>SO YOU SHOULD PUMP THIS SHTAKO, LIKE THEY DO IN THE POST-APOCALYPTIC FUTURE!<
Yeah mine is fair, however I absolutely ever get any outages which is nice.
