Is Defiance Going to be Good?

Maybe you guys need to switch to PC than because most PC exclusives give your weeks or months worth of game play especially with mods. And considering a lot of PC games give you editor's and SDK's to make your own maps,missions,weapons and even games.

i use to play pc games alot like witcher, wow, stor and many more but i get so sick and tired of having to upgrade my pc because its out of date the day i buy a new one or upgrade my computer a month or so later and i cant play games coming out or games coming out the next year knowing my computer wont hold the graphics i would rather play on console then i know that everything is going to play and i also prefer to sit on the couch after coming home from work and playing on my 82 inch tv playing a game and relaxing so im glad i can finally get to play a mmo on my xbox!!!!!

I just found it odd that the only place I've heard of the game was from one commercial, of course a game doesn't need a lot of advertising to be good, just an observation on my part.

It likely depends on where exactly in the world, and what media you have access to. Of course online you'll be plastered with info on the game from various sites such as gaming ones. But for people who don't have syfy for example, they might never have heard of the show, and just get a few ads on some channels about the game.

While others might have more readily access to the media which throws info about the game left and right.

Then UO, Everquest, and Dark Age of Camelot are all failures as I only played month of each... oh wait they are still quite successful games with a dedicated player base who enjoy the game and have been doing so for years, some over a decade.

Just cause you gave it a month doesn't mean anything other than it wasn't your cup of tea. Lots of MMOs have small dedicated player bases that support them just fine.

hence me saying failure in MY eyes... im sure there are games that are horrible that SOMEONE out there likes... so yeah

Yeah and I have about 20 other games that i'm wanting to play this year. I'm not going to spend all my time in one game. When there's a ton more out there some even better than this game with much better replay ability.

lol play teh right mmo then.. i got FFXI on ps2 when it first came out.. since then i got star oceabnn 3 when it first came out, disgaea 1 when it first came out, final fantasy 12 when it first came out... and countless otherds. yet none of those games got played ONCE until near the end of 2008 because i was loving FFXI to much to try to play anything else...

if a game is really GOOD.. having "other game sdto play" shouldnt be enough to make you sto playing it..

thats like watching a 2 hour movie 30 minutes through (that you thoroughly enjoy) but saying there are probably better movie si could be watching (or other movie si wanna watch) so Imma stop watchin this and start on them lol...

no you only stop playing one game for another when you beat the one you started fist or the one you started first sucks horribly or begins to suck horribly/bores you.

To each their own really. If he stops playing it, he'll just miss out on whatever those who keep playing will get. If he stays then he'll stay. Its all part o' life.

Could be who knows. Isn't it a relative term. To me, I am sure it could be good. Pop a few couple hundred hours. I am not as excited for this game as I have been for other games like Borderlands 2 or Tomb Raider. But to me this game looks pretty good, after all I am willing to drop $60 down on it and pick it up on release day.
