I don't really care what he thinks, but to others who actually have a brain that know that it easily costs as much to produce a good quality game and that games are now bringing in more revenue than shows ever did... its a rediculous idea to say that they are focusing on the show more than the game.

I prefer that it's designed with old graphics, but then again, I'm old fashioned and play games for game-play

Currently playing through Unreal again.. And I'm loving it. It came out in the late 90s so you can imagine what the graphics are like

Oh, I loved Unreal so much. To the point when Unreal 2 came out I was going after Cliffy B so hard he had to call me and tell me to quit it. Those were good times, back when I was all fire and rage. That being said, I'm looking at this more from a long term plan standpoint. Nostalgia aside it's a critical error to release a long term project like this on old tech so close to the new iterations which offer orders of magnitude more flexibility and processing capability.

However, the new consoles can and are specifically designed to run DX11, considering how soon it is that they will be released it seems a massive glaring error to push things like this. It also undermines the concept that both the game and tv show are on equal ground.

If you watch the IGN video you will constantly see the 360 running into memory issues, the next generation "360" will have almost 40 times the memory as does the 360. I'd say the benefits are obvious.

Yeah and a year later they'll have DX12, Plus the PS4 has no backwards compatibility don't know about the new xbox. Personally I don't think it would really matter since the main feature of DX11 is tessellation and consoles will never have the power to run that considering even some of the gaming PC's today poorly run it.

Maybe so, but the new consoles are getting released this year. And they're hundreds of times more powerful than the current ones. Considering this concept has never been done before is no excuse considering I'm also responsible for things like the Mars Rover Curiosity. Believe my grandiose statements or not, but it's true, and I know someone reading this is going "yep, he's not joking." It's just my personal issue with this game. They're being cheap and cowardly while rushing to get it out the door. If you've ever had a project being done by other people you'd maybe understand why I would bother to publicly state my opinions on this. I promise you, someone is going to get a phone call along the lines of "PL is pissed, you guys screwed up, 'good' job."

Also the OP is just a troll, acting like a troll, stinkin' like a troll. There has been an influx of them lately. Honestly if I didn't know any better I'd call Kilby directly and tell him to stop, he was just the king of trolls but these are just average vermin trolls... annoying but pointless.
