I'm a mid range, tactical guy. I want to be close enough to see their faces and hear their cries when they die, but not close enough to smell their breath.

I grenade as I approach the range I like, give them a burst or two from an automatic weapon, then cover and reassess. If they're still alive I'll Decoy, give them another burst of gunfire, then grenade and more gunfire. Using cover when needed.

This technique allows me to tie up multiple enemies and eventually defeat them with little damage while allies take on the objectives. When solo I'll use a flashbang and my decoy to give me enough time to do an objective without taking gunfire.

Oh well I prefer overcharge with explosive centric perks complimenting the rich aroma of a ground pounder detonator and a nade auto shotgun. Not really a crush your enemies in the strictest sense, more of a scatter them as charged bits in a few hundred yards of multiple directions

I have used them a little, just do a little better with the larger damage from bolts, plus I have a nice orange meteor bolter I'm modding out. I have a mediocre purple semi-auto though, and I need to get to 10 for a pursuit so i will need to work on those too.

Yeah. Bolts do have the larger number capacity which is nice; I would just rather prefer to keep my scope on the target more when it comes to the larger enemies since both types take out the normal ones with one or two shots.

A gun with grenade recharge per kill would fit nicely! And i dont think the halitosis(spelling?) that the bandits suffer from smells very good x.x

Raiders wear gas masks for a reason.

Also, I would like to add I don't use the aim assist when sniping. It seems to mess me up more then help.

Prefer sneaky sniper action rather than bombastic Rambo style. Seems the latter is more the required playstyle though given the number of mobs you have to kill most of the time. Sniping should do what sniping is supposed to do. Demoralize and confuse the enemy. It does neither sadly.
