Who can't Log on? What's up Defiance? Where are the servers?

We've been looking into this and it looks XBOX LIVE issues are affecting us.

There's nothing wrong with the xbox servers. I've just been on GOW and ME3 with no issue at all. Party chat is also unaffected.
It's just Defiance servers, hopefully it will get sorted on next weeks patch.

I think its an xbox live problem that's causing it. I haven't been able to chat, send messages, get into parties etc. for the past two days.
Plus Xbox reported that a couple of high ranking employees had there xbox accounts hacked. Maybe this is all steeming from that?

here's the article about the hackers claiming responsibility. i think it may be a fake claim. maybe this hacker group just thought they would claim responsibility to give people the false impression that it is possible to hack XBL, but in all reality, they had nothing to do with it. then again, maybe they did do it because of all of the "always-online" rumors floating around about the next Xbox, just to prove a point.

From the official Defiance twitter, it is an xbl issue and not an issue with the Defiance servers.

Congratulations on being fortunate enough to access other games. The issue being pointed out though is that a rather large group of players are unable to connect to any online service in the games they play, which would point towards an issue with Microsoft.

Wouldn't make sense for people to still be able to play if it was the Defiance servers that were down.

I've been DC'd from xbox servers twice today. It's been an issue all weekend.
