Thing with YouTube is that the big channels have a very high production quality so starting out a new channel now will mean a likely failure unless you have a very good and unique idea. Otherwise I would be making videos already.
I love Minecraft for the Xbox 360. The creators of the game even follow me on twitter and send me dlc early so I can showcase it on my channel.
I'd say just post what you want and keep at it. It took me like a year of getting no views to even see some success. I do wish Defiance had a larger audience, but it doesn't seem like a game that'd get many views which is unfortunate because the game is amazing. I just don't want to spend six hours a day rendering and uploading a video when it's not going to do well.![]()

I don't upload regularly and don't intend on aiming for lots of subscribers or anything, I just use it when I feel like it. I'll likely stick some Defiance videos up though.
I dropped my channel. Had good amount of views and subs. But I started to get busy. Might make a new one since i've changed my GT a few times since then and have a lot more time.
