I have poor weapons at the moment, so I am getting tanned most matches - but it is still fun.
Like most I get killed 75% of the time by a cloaked shotgunner. I'm looking to get headshots, so the shotgun is no good to me, but this combo seems to be the one to use for max kills.
I have read many complaining about this, so maybe the only fix would be to reduce the cloak time whilst moving (the faster you move the faster it runs out), much like Crysis.
Perhaps that would keep everyone happy?? Just throwing it out there...

I absolutely love the competitive pvp in this game. I can't wait for freight yard to come back and more maps to be added because thats the only problem with competitive pvp right now, the lack of variety. Most of the complaints come from people who dont give it a chance, or try to pvp with their pve builds. Its pvp, people are going to try to burst you down as quickly as possible, so you will need perks to defend against it. I dont use cloak or a shotgun in any of my pvp loadouts and I very rarely have a negative kdr. I am being very generous when I say that I'm an average skilled player. If I can contribute to a team every game, then pvp is nowhere near broken.

No, that wouldn't keep everybody happy. It would make cloak completely useless.
Cloak isn't over powered. It gets easily interrupted (spray with a SMG, Infectors get auto hit on cloaked players, a good hit with a grenade cancels cloak, dots interrupt cloak...). To get one hit kills you need to get very close, you need the right perks and you need a weapon with high burst damage. Cloak and shotgun is a highly specialized combo and if the first shot doesn't kill the player has a big problem: he is visible, he doesn't get the dmg boost of the hidden strike perk and the sawed off shotgun takes 2s to reload and every harder hit restarts the reload...

And if nobody uses cloak, then people will start complaining about blur or decoy …

Guys dont feed the trolls, if he really didnt want to bother with this game - he wouldnt bother coming to the forums and posting about it. He is more than likely a mad younger fellow who did not do very well in PVP and wants to rage about it. As a mature adult, he should have just walked away with it and continued on with life.
I will never understand how games come out, and people act like its their last game they will ever play and it needs to fulfill every expectation. If you dont like it, dont play it and play another game (we all know there are plenty and more on the way)

Within these forums you will find many glaring issues with the pvp. I would suggest if your a new player to not even bother with it, it will only leave you frustrated. If you are an experienced mmo player and shooter player it will also leave you frustrated because it simply isn't finished or well thought out.

I for one will not be contributing anything more than I already have to Trion because of this dissappointing endeavor. I encourage everyone to do the same, perhaps this will encourage them to get on the ball.

too busy cryin about somthing else some were else maybe.
pvp is fine as is as long as the continue to improve connections and some fram rate issuse that is.
shotgun/cloak dosent bother me one bit , ARs are more than enough to deal with them sneaky buggers.
good players adapt and overcome bad ones ***** and moan
