yea I am kinda mad ive owned 3 xboxs in my lifetime....2 were red ringed to death and the 3rd I sold because xbox seems to like to **** on their exclusive games and make them terrible (like fable). The two good exclusives they have left are halo and gears of war.

tbh im playing defiance on my gaming pc so it doesn't really matter but I really do prefer ps3 over xbox.

You think that's something, you should truly scour for just how many times XBL has been hacked. (Not to mention all the "swattings".) In fact, if memory serves correctly, Microsoft was even hacked not so long ago I thought I had read about the other night. I know the last "big batch" (the one they originally thought was due to FIFA Soccer), that MS finally even admitted to and then swept under the rug, that was costing several users hundreds of dollars each, went on easily for over a year... I was writing articles and blogging it for over a year until I finally said heck with following it, since it never seemed to get fixed. Maybe it did get fixed, but I don't recall MS ever stepped out and made any official "it's safe again" statements. Anywho... I've come to find, be it PC or console, MS tends to have their security issues sadly. :P

(PS - I say "truly scour" because I think MS tends to go around and pay to remove bad news about them from time to time, as stories seem to disappear... while a person can still easily find news articles covering the PS3 hack from a couple years ago.)

as for beta times who the hell cares how long or short it is. BETA TESTING IS NOT FOR YOUT GAIN IT IS FOR THE DEV TEAMS GAIN.

why is Xbox only 1 day? could be its ready to go and is now just a stress test, could be just to shut the whining up.

why is PS3 6 days ? could be it really needs it on a larger scale. could be sonys network needs testing on a live enviroment, could be the PS3 version needs alot more working on.

why is PC 2 days ? same as Xbox its pretty much good to go.

the 1 hour with i gn shows u the Xbox 360 but no PS3 footage anywhere, guess there is a reason.

and if u cancel a pre order all because you only get 1 day in a BETA test 3 weeks from game launch then GOOD RIDDENCE we dont need crappy players like u in an mmo comunity.

A stress test is part of what betas are for... but i do think its bs that everyone gets like 4+ days to play and we only get 1.

Just my opinion like everyone else, but does anyone know the true reason why the PS3 has longer testing then 360? This thread has went from rage to justification of why the times are so drastically different. The rage portion points to Trion for not being loyal enough to their 360 fanbase (someone even said they were cancelling their preorder) and the justification is taking shots at the PS3/PSN because apparently it's so horrible and needs more testing. Which is it? PS3 gamers are not in the clear either. This Gen MS has spent money to gain advantages for their platform to boost sales and make their player base happy and I applaud them. But, all you read and hear are Sony fans attacking MS and 360 gamers when this happens. Hey PS3 gamers, be happy with your exclusives and go to an official PS forum and tell Sony to open their wallet more so we can have these advantages. Seriously, when does the complaining and entitlement end?

You know what's funny about what you said there. To sum it up, MS charges users for every little thing they can, while overall offering less (not even a built-in web-browser), and then still has to toss more money at trying to "be better". Kind of ironic... that's exactly what used to happen the last gen. I used to head up an electronic department as Team Lead... and we couldn't keep our PS2s in stock, yet MS vendors would come in and put stickers for THREE free games on the older boxes, and newer boxes were printed from the factory to have THREE free games, and could still hardly sell. Just seems ironic.

As for Sony opening their wallet... from my experience; they don't really have to, as their quality speaks for itself pretty much... they even show so much faith in their systems, they don't mind taking small losses per sale of each console. Also funny you mention complaining and entitlement... unless I missed something, all the complaining and entitlement on these forums is coming from 360 users!? LOL.

lol yea....I will keep my 10+ exclusive game series then get a few DLC early and have to pay 50 bucks to play it online. xbox 720 better learn how to do chin ups because sony raised the bar with the ps4 announcement

But being a person that has owned every PS and Xbox..........I will NEVER say LIVE isn't worth the money. I made the earlier assumption because I don't know 1 person that owns or has owned both and says LIVE is a waste of money (especially in comparison to PSN). Usually they simply say I got tired of paying for it or couldn't...so on and so forth. I will leave it at this, I've played video games for over 23yrs and I play more of my online based games on 360 (DCUO and other PS3 exclusive are literally the only games I'll play online on my PS3).

I own both, and I don't want to pay for live because PS3 online. To me it is worthless.

I'm mostly agree with you but can you answer this question: Why doing a "beta" on Xbox 360 when a big part of us will be at work or school?
